Industry of Germany. What is it famous for?

Food Industry in Germany

In this industry, the most developed segments are winemaking and brewing. The latter deserves special attention. Germany since ancient times is famous for its beer. About a third of the beer produced is exported.

However, since the 2000s, the traditional tastes of the Germans began to change. Local people instead of classical beer began to prefer wine more and more. This led to the development of the wine industry. The Moselle and Rhine wines produced by the German industry are known far beyond the borders of the country.

In addition to the above-mentioned industries, special attention should be paid to the production of industrial equipment, electronics, computers and machine tools.

The light industry of Germany has long been famous for its products. Although now its volume in the market has decreased (the world trend), however German production technology is considered one of the best. Germany also has a developed chemical industry. A special place in this industry is the production of plastics and paint and varnish products.

The country also has a developed metallurgy, which mainly uses imported raw materials for its work. Of its materials, only scrap metal is used for melting. Gradually, Germany in this industry has become an importer, although it previously supplied the rental to the world market. During the past global crisis, the state retained its economic and production positions, as well as the reputation of a good and very reliable partner.
