Independence Day of Kazakhstan by right can be called one of the most significant holidays not only for the state, but for the whole people. In 1990, the republic restored its right to independence. Since then, for 25 years, this event in the history of the formation of independent modern Kazakhstan is celebrated on December 16.

Noting Independence Day of Kazakhstan on December 16, it is worth noting such a memorable event as the state's refusal from the nuclear program. Shortly after the declaration of independence, Kazakhstan voluntarily declared itself a country in the territory of which any nuclear weapons will not be used.

The international cooperation

The achievements of Kazakhstan's diplomatic missions are obvious: more than 120 states have established partner interstate relations with the republic aimed at providing guarantees of sovereignty and independence of the state. This is confirmed by the country's full membership in the UN, active cooperation with world influential organizations, including the European Union, the International Monetary Fund, UNICEF, IAEA, UNESCO and the Red Cross. In addition to cooperation with these influential international organizations, Kazakhstan has ratified more than 40 multilateral conventions, declarations, and concluded about 700 bilateral treaties.

Political and legal education in the state

An important role is played by the Independence Day of Kazakhstan in the patriotic education of youth and schoolchildren. On the eve of the holiday, the teachers are preparing programs for carrying out activities in schools, colleges, universities.
