The easiest way is to go to the store and buy new things. But what if the budget is limited? Of course, do needlework. This time we will consider how to sew a long skirt in several versions. Let's start with the simplest model.

How to sew a long skirt on an elastic band.

This model is very simple to manufacture. For her, any material that drapes well. This can be crepe, chiffon, lace or knitwear. The choice of fabric depends on your tastes and the purpose of the finished product. This model will look great on a slim figure.

We need a piece of cloth measuring 1.5 x 2.5 meters, thread in tone and an elastic band 2 centimeters wide. Before sewing a long skirt, you need to process all four sides of our cut fabric. For this purpose, the overlock or special sewing foot for the twist is perfect. After that, we fold the fabric in half, with the wrong side outward and sewing straight stitch to get a pipe length of 1.5 meters. Be sure to iron the seam.

Since the fabric is light and transparent, we need a lining. We measure the necessary length of the skirt, add to it five centimeters, and the rest of the fabric is folded inward. This will be our lining. Fix the bend of the needles and, having deviated from it two centimeters, lay the first line. At a distance of 2.5 centimeters from it, make the second straight line, leaving a couple of centimeters unmarked. We measure the gum of the required length. Using a pin, insert it into the skirt through the prepared hole and sew the ends. Evenly distribute the folds across the entire width of the skirt. Our new thing is ready.

How to sew a long summer skirt-sun

This model can be manufactured without a side seam. We need a square of cloth measuring 1.5x1.5 meters, a wide elastic band and a string of suitable tone. The finished fabric cut is folded in half twice and we get a square with a side of 75 centimeters. We need to find out how much to cut off the tissues for the waist. For this, we measure the girth of the place where the skirt will sit. If you want to wear it on your hips or with your waist down, then it's in this place that you take measurements. Obtain the obtained girth in half and multiply by 3.14. In my case, the figure was 13.

On the folded square we measure 13 centimeters and draw a semicircle. This will be the waist line. From it we measure the length of the skirt and also draw a semicircle. If you want a more interesting model - leave the hem with corners. Cut off excess fabric and unfold the cut. We have a big circle with a hole in the center. Carefully work the skirt hem in any way.

After that, we are making a belt. We measure the length of the central circle and cut out a strip of fabric two centimeters long and 5-7 centimeters wide. We grind the belt in a ring, leaving one centimeter unmarked, and iron the seam. After that, we add the strip in half and pin it with needles. We get a ready belt with a width of 2.5-3.5 centimeters. We put a strip on the front side of the skirt, aligning the cut with the waist line. We retreat 0,7 centimeters and lay a straight line. We process the seam on the overlock. If you use two narrow rubber bands instead of one wide, divide the belt in half by an additional line. We put in the elastic band and sew the ends of it. Our new thing is ready.

How to sew a long straight skirt

In most cases, you must wear strict clothing. If you have a small selection of such things, we will tell you how to sew a long skirt with a lock. For this we do not need a pattern. It is enough to know the girth of the hips and the length of the product. Take for example the girth of 100 centimeters, and the necessary length - 80 centimeters. The result is a rectangle, to each side of which you need to add a centimeter, after which we get 102x82 centimeters.

We process the side sections of the fabric on the overlock. Fold the cut fabric in half and note the height of the cut and the location of the lightning. Fix the edges using needles. We sew the seam at a distance of one centimeter, following the marks, then iron it. We put from the back side the lock and stitch.

We lay a finishing line, fixing the allowances on the seam and making out a cut on the skirt. We sew the bottom of the product. After that, you can take care of the design of the waist. We turn our workpiece to the wrong side and put it on, fastening the lock. Using needles, we pin excess tissue, forming lateral, front and back darts. Remove the skirt and stitch the darts on the made marks, after which we press them to the center.

The waist line can be made in several ways:

• Treat with oblique blind.

We will design a waist with an oblique bake cut from the main fabric. Its width should be 2.5 centimeters. The front side of the bake is applied to the underside of the skirt and is threaded, retreating from the edge 0.5-0.7 centimeters. After that, turn the button on the front side of the skirt, closing the slices at the waist. Fold the excess inside and sting it with needles. Do not forget to leave the lateral allowances, which at this point must be wrapped inside. We plot the line, retreating 0.1 centimeters from the edge of the oblique bake.
