Preparation

Although there is nothing complicated in how to refill a Canon cartridge, a number of actions should be taken before the immediate operation. First of all, you need to prepare in advance syringes with thin needles, the ink itself of the right colors (the amount depends on the model), disposable polyethylene gloves, a thin drill or drill with a diameter of about 2 mm, dry cotton wool, paper napkins and several old newspapers. Syringes need to be purchased taking into account that they are used one by one for each color (not a cartridge!).

How to refill a Canon cartridge

The section of the table on which the ink will be refilled in the container must be carefully covered with several layers of newspapers. Otherwise, the leaky paint will have to be washed off the surface. And this, believe me, without the washing liquid is quite difficult. The first cartridge is removed from the printer and placed sideways on the table. If the print head is integrated with the container, care must be taken not to damage the nozzle. The sticker from the top of the cartridge should be removed, but not thrown away - it is still useful. Below it there is a channel structure that converges to a plastic circle (one in black and several in a color cartridge). At this point, the drill must be carefully pierced. There is no need to worry about the chips falling inside - there is a porous material. It is required that the diameter of the needle is smaller than that of the resulting hole. In the case of a black cartridge, everything is simple: we draw 2-4 ml of paint into the syringe, insert the needle into the container until the resistance (upper part of the absorbent material) is felt. Usually it is 0.5-1 cm. Then slowly squeeze the ink into the cartridge. As a rule, 4 ml is enough - at filling it is better to undercharge than to pour. After that, return the sticker on the lid to the place (this will reduce the drying and evaporation) and put the cartridge in the printer. But for a color container, everything is a bit more complicated: on the cover you have to make three holes and determine the color matches (sometimes the order is broken). By type of cartridge and name, you need to find out which hole corresponds to which color. In principle, you can just inspect the cover carefully. For each paint your syringe.
