How to make a bedroom in the loft style

Loft style appeared in our vocabulary relatively recently. In the middle of the twentieth century in America, many people were deprived of a roof over their heads, and their shelter was shop and factory premises, lofts of multi-storey houses, warehouses and abandoned storage. Gradually, in such "apartments" it became more comfortable, and that aura, which was created due to bare walls, hanging pipes and other previously unacceptable elements of housing, acquired the status of a separate design style.

Today, there is nothing easier than to arrange your apartment in a similar spirit. This design image will be appropriate to look in the room of a teenager, in the living room and even in the kitchen. But here a loft-like bedroom in many people raises doubts: will it be cozy to live in such a "harsh" room? In fact, if the mind is approached to design the interior of this apartment, then any image he will give comfort. Using various elements of decor, textiles and, of course, designer tricks, you will achieve the desired result.

So, firstly, let's define the walls. The loft-style bedroom will not tolerate bright and catchy colors, as the color completeness will manifest itself in very large details (bricks, pipes and so on). As a rule, one or two surfaces are made with brickwork (it can be decorative or real), and all other walls are stuccoed and painted in a light monochrome paint. Choose a shade depending on the color of the brick: if it is red, then it can be shaded with a snow-white coating or you can prefer a light gray paint. If the walls are made of gray, white bricks, then the other surfaces are desirable to cover with warm tones. It can be diluted with white ocher, terracotta or pale pink paint.

The bedroom in loft style, like any other, should have a bed in its center. Typically, to create the desired effect is selected furniture in a minimalist style. It can be a wooden bed without sides, which completely disappears under bed-clothes. If you want to make this furniture element brighter, choose a model with a chrome top tenant.

When creating a loft-style bedroom design , do not forget that all the interior details and furniture must match. Therefore, if your bed has a metal frame, then the same material should be used in pedestals, a chest of drawers, a coffee table. An exception can be soft furniture and a wardrobe. As for the latter, it should be noted that he should not pay all attention to himself. The cabinet in a similar room can have a mirror facade or be simply smooth (matte). Also a loft-style bedroom is complemented by carpets. It is not necessary to carpet the floor in such an interior with carpet, as such a detail of the interior was unacceptable for the once-abandoned rooms. You can put the "on duty" rugs near the bed or place a small carpet on the free part of the floor, a soft, low-key, but still high-quality one.
