How to keep roses in a vase - tips and tricks

It's hard to find someone who does not like roses at all. A bouquet of these beautiful flowers is an excellent gift or addition to it, and it is absolutely appropriate in any situation. Interestingly, the amount of flowers in a bouquet depended on its interpretation in the old days: one rose was given as a token of attention, three respects, and seven roses meant a declaration of love. Also of great importance were the color and form of flowers. Some echoes of traditions live to this day (for example, it is believed that the yellow rose - to separation or parting), but almost no one is linking the language of flowers with what the bouquet giver really wanted to say. In any case, it's very pleasant to receive such a beautiful gift, and you want to admire it more than one day. Therefore, you need to know how to keep roses in a vase, so that they can be as pleased as possible for a longer time and remain fresh.

There is a belief that flowers are presented for a long time, presented with love. Most interestingly, there is a certain amount of truth in this, perhaps because in this case the bouquet is chosen especially diligently, not according to the principle "just to be decent and not very expensive," but really from the heart. And in order to keep the cut roses for a long period of time, it's very important that they get into the vase still fresh, and do not stand there until a week from the seller. However, in any case, you need to know that if the flowers have not completely withered, then they can be revived, and sometimes it can be done even when the heads of roses are already drooping slightly. Of course, to get a long-term result in this situation will not work, but still the bouquet will please the eye for a couple of days longer.

When asked how to keep roses in a vase, there are many options for answers. The simplest and most effective way is to immerse the flowers in a bath of water. Immediately under water, it is necessary to slightly cut off the stems, and then flatten them slightly in order to release air from the incision and fill the capillaries with water. You can also clean the flower stems from the bark (about 4-5 cm), and remove all the lower leaves. In principle, to refresh and restore the appearance of flowers it is enough to lie in the water for several hours, but it is much more effective to leave them that way for the whole night.

- add a vase with a bouquet of a couple of tablespoons of sugar or an aspirin tablet;

- add vodka or alcohol to the water (slightly less than a glass), better combined with the addition of sugar;

- pour boiling water in a vase and put roses in it.

The last resort, for all its unexpectedness, is positioned as very effective for situations when flowers have already begun to fade.

There are also general tips on how to keep roses in a vase. It is necessary not to put flowers in too warm or, conversely, cold water. It is also necessary to prune the stems and cut off the lower leaves, and the incision should be made at an angle. To carry out such manipulation it is necessary under water, for example, under the crane. Vase with flowers should not be put on a bright sun, and the water in it is important to regularly change. If roses are presented in a package, then it should not be immediately deployed, as a special microclimate is created inside, which helps the flowers to adapt more quickly. Therefore, it is better to put a packaged bouquet in a vase (of course, it is not a newspaper that sometimes wraps flowers in a severe frost, but professional packaging), and if its appearance offends the best aesthetic feelings in the package, it can be removed after several hours.
