Fog lights are designed for more intensive illumination of the roadway in conditions of poor visibility and in bad weather conditions. Installation is carried out without the need to dismantle the bumper. In order to perform the installation, it is only necessary to unscrew and remove the front parts of the liners. The plug on the bumper can be removed using a flat screwdriver. The manufacturer often includes a special frame fastener. It is installed instead of a plug in the bumper. The optics itself is installed and fixed in the last place.

But there is a method of installation, where you need to dismantle the bumper. To do this, first unscrew the screws and the fastening bolt, and after that remove the bumper sides from under the wheel arches. Then the plugs are removed and the fog-lights are put. "Kalina" continues to stand still. From the inside, the PTF is fixed with three self-tapping screws to the bumper. Connecting the fog lights

First of all, the wiring harness is held under the hood and connected with the help of complete connectors to the left and right headlamps. "Mass" is fixed on the body. "Plus" is connected to the battery terminal according to the scheme attached by the manufacturer (one of them is shown in the photo below).

Next, the harness, which is under the hood, is pulled into the cabin. It is better and more convenient to do this along the staff wiring harness that is located in the left wing. For this, four screws are turned out. Through the opening, push out the button caps.

Under these stubs there are two more screws. They hold the overlay on the dashboard. Then remove the temperature adjustment knobs. They can be easily removed by pulling yourself. Next, gently push the overlay on the panel and at the same time push out the plug for the air conditioner button. In place of the plug will be installed button, which controls the fog lights.

Short white and black wires are connected by means of connectors with wires of the same color that go from the rear window heating button. Long wires are pulled from the button to the mounting block through the dashboard. For convenience of operation, the mounting block must be pushed into the interior. At the top of the hand, look for the end of the harness that comes from under the hood.

So, we have three wires that come from under the hood and two coming from the button. Now it is necessary to connect the system of fuses and relays according to the scheme attached by the manufacturer. Next, check how the fog lights work. "Lada Kalina" is driven into a dark room. If everything is in order, then you can assemble the salon back. Relays, as well as fuses are installed in the mounting block. All connections are isolated. Reassemble in the reverse order. The only difficulty that can arise is the installation of the instrument panel in its place. It is more convenient to first secure the upper latches, and then lower ones.

Adjustment of PTF

To get maximum efficiency from the fog lamps, you need to adjust the light. This is a simple procedure with which even beginners can easily cope. Before you begin the setup, you need to install the car on the most level ground. Need a wall or a solid fence in front of this site. It is in this place that the fog lights will be set up, the "Lada Kalina" installed. The first thing experts recommend is to check the tire pressure. It is important that it is the same in all wheels. Only so the car will stand perfectly smoothly. Then check the distance from the center point of the headlamp to the ground. The adjustment is carried out at night. The machine is placed on the platform at a distance of 5 meters from the wall. Then turn on the headlights. One of the headlamps is covered with any opaque material, and then with a screwdriver, adjust the light flux so that its center is on or below the drawn line. Then the same operation is carried out for the other headlamp.
