How to enable cookies in popular browsers

One of the signs on which you can determine a truly competitive software application is the convenience of working in it. In particular, every year it becomes more and more obvious that the appearance of the launched program, the possibility of self-adjustment of certain parameters and even partial intervention in the algorithms of work are sacrificed to automatic functions. For example, the newest operating system from Microsoft - Windows 8 - attracted very few corny angular forms of its interface, but the main functions are configured and work out of the box. A similar situation has developed in the market of Internet browsers: all development teams strive to simplify the work of the end user with their program as much as possible. One of the very convenient functions of all browsers is the support for cookie files, and the user does not need to think about how to enable cookies, because they are enabled by default.

Cookies (cookies) are small files that contain text information. They are automatically transferred by the visited web page to the user's computer and saved in the corresponding browser folder. The file structure specifies the name of the target site and the data about the properties of the provided pages, user settings on the site, etc. When you re-access this web resource, it checks for the presence of a cookie in the browser. If there is no such file (the resource was not previously visited), then it is transferred to the computer. In the presence of the same browser itself sends the file to the site, thereby identifying the visitor. Obviously, the user can both enable cookies, and disable their use for their part. All browsers allow this configuration.

Before you consider how to enable cookies, here's an example of how to use cookies. The user uses the browser to enter the target site and register on it, obtaining a login and password for further access. It can be any chat, online store, bank site, etc. Through time, it becomes necessary to go to the same site. But now when you log in, you do not need to enter a password / login, as they are stored in cookies, and the site is automatically accessed (this data is sent to the resource in the background). No doubt convenient.

Enable cookies in Opera is very simple. To do this, in the browser, press Ctrl + F12, open the "Advanced" tab and follow in the "Cookies". Here everything is obvious - we specify "to accept all cookies" (by default). By the way, here we also manage the reception of these files. If automatic login is not performed, then press Ctrl + Enter on the desired page.

In the popular Firefox browser it's also easy to figure out how to enable cookies. To do this, go to the "Settings" menu and select "Settings". Next, select the "Privacy" tab. In the History drop-down list, select "Your preferences" (third entry). We tick "Accept Cookies" to simplify the work without forgetting to activate the reception from third-party sites.

To understand how to enable cookies in the Internet Explorer 8 browser that is included with Windows 7 is equally simple. We go to the "Tools" menu and open "Internet Options" and then "Privacy". Moving the slider up and down, you can configure the reception of cookies.

In Google Chrome open the menu and follow in the "Settings". Click "Enable advanced settings". In the "Personal information" section, we specify "Content settings". Here for the cookie you need to enable "Allow data saving".

In general, the average user can not block small text cookies because this disrupts work with many sites, complicating the identification procedure. The prohibition of the use of cookies is necessary, in particular, to ensure additional privacy, although, of course, it is impossible to speak about complete anonymity here.
