How to draw a children's railway with a train step-by-step

Very often kiddies, especially after watching the cartoon "Steam Train Chuggington", ask parents how to draw a children's railway. The locomotive for children's drawing is the main component, so to speak, the first principle, then, for what it's all started. It's rather trivial to depict only the rails and a couple of trees at the sides. Therefore today we will learn how to draw not only the railway, but also two types of trains - step by step.

Drawing wheels of a train

So, how to draw a children's railway with a pencil together with a train standing on the rails? Where to begin? That's right, with a locomotive, it's harder to portray it.

Take a sheet of paper and draw a straight line. If you are not sure that you can do it by eye, use the ruler.

Now, on the right side, draw a circle so that its top (about one-fifth) intersects with the previously drawn line. The accuracy of the proportions is not so important, the main thing is that most of the circle is located below the line. After you do, draw a small rectangle, and in its lower part, roughly in the middle, two small circles - this will be the wheels.

How to draw a children's railway and a train on? To do this, let us deal with the front part of our vehicle. First draw a line inside the rectangle parallel to its upper side. Focusing on it, draw a small triangle. It should be slightly lower than the main part, but not on the same level as the wheels.

Inside the small wheels draw on a small circle, inside the big wheel, paint two more - one bigger, another smaller. From the right little wheel to the big, draw two oblique features - this will be the crankshaft.

Draw a cabin and a cylinder

To the big wheel draw a horizontal rectangle - a cabin. Detail it with small elements on top and side.

Above our first and main rectangle draw another one - smaller. Round out its sides, add more details: a pipe, a radiator grille, a window in the cab of the machinist.

Final touches

Gently erase all unnecessary lines and flaws, paint the rails and color the resulting pattern. For example, this:

There is another option, how to draw a children's railway with a train. Perhaps it will seem easier to perform. Of course, first draw a locomotive. But you can first outline the rails of two barely noticeable lines, to subsequently adjust them.

Drawing the cabin

First, draw two intersecting lines so that more space remains on the left side of the album sheet. Parallel to the first horizontal line in the upper right part, draw another one. The new line should be about a third smaller than the main line.

From the left edge of the line draw a small curve, like a concave inside. Repeat the same on the right edge. Draw two more of the same lines already inside the resulting space.

Now paint the "roof" and draw a small funny pipe. The locomotive cab is ready.

Drawing "body" and wheels

Well, the cabin is ready. How to draw a children's railway with a train on? You need to do "trunk" and wheels. Orienting to the lower part of the cabin, draw a small curve from left to right. Connect it with small dashes to the bottom of the cabin and draw down two curves curved in different directions. Connect them together at the bottom of the line.

Focusing on this line, draw a circle - it will be a large wheel of your locomotive. Enter inside this circle another smaller one and output the "crankshaft". To the resulting back, draw another rectangle on the left side. Gently erase the left side and draw a slightly curved instead of a straight line. At the bottom, place two small wheels. They should be located almost close to each other.

In the upper area of the rectangle, draw something like an inverted trapezoid with a concave "roof". And extend the curve from the right to the left.

And a bit more

The engine is almost ready. Detail the picture, adding such strokes as inner circles inside small wheels, radiator grille.

Gently erase all unnecessary lines, draw or circle the rails, sketch a beautiful landscape and paint a picture. You have a children's railway. To draw it step by step was not so difficult.
