This method will be useful for those who have the opportunity to easily get sulfuric acid, or you have it already available. For example, you can dilute sulfuric acid for batteries with water to obtain a solution of 10%. In the acid, you need to boil silverware, then rinse with water. Of course, the entire process should be carried out in gloves - at least a solution and a weak consistency, but it is better for the owners of sensitive skin not to take risks.

How to Clean Silver: use citric acid

Another affordable and effective way to clean silver products using citric acid, which you can buy in powder in the department with spices and seasonings in almost any supermarket. Take a glass jar capacity of 1 liter and pour in it a half-liter of water. Citric acid (100 g) is poured into water. Put the jar on a water bath. Cut off a piece of copper wire and drop it into the water. And it is better to bend the wire and hook one of its ends on the neck of the jar so that from it you get a kind of "fishing rod", with which you can get the products in the process of boiling to control the cleaning process. As a rule, for cleaning silver with citric acid it takes from 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the degree of "blackening" of the metal).
