How to Choose a Telpher?

The load-lifting construction hoist is the heart of any crane and it occupies a special place in the list of lifting equipment. Currently, in the Russian market, you can meet a wide variety of hoists from different countries (mainly Bulgaria, Russia and China) and different carrying capacity (the most popular hoisting equipment with a lifting capacity of 3 and 5 tons). In order to correctly choose the hoists, it is important to represent for what purposes you need a lift (and also to know approximately its technical characteristics). The main characteristics, which should be based on choosing a telfer - this is its payload and the height of the load. And now we list the secondary characteristics, which are also important when acquiring the telpher - this is the operating mode, the speed of lifting the load, the linear size of the telpher in height and the beam width for which it will be installed.

All types of hoists can be roughly divided into two groups - manual and electric. Manual (or mechanical) designed for easy operation, where there is no need for speed. Plus, the manual tackle consists in the inability to provide power for its operation, since it is driven by the physical strength of the worker. Electric hoists, in turn, are divided into rope and chain hoists. The most demanded in the production of hoists - it's electric rope mobile lifting equipment, installed I-beam crane-beam. The maximum lifting capacity of such hoists reaches 50 tons. It is worth noting that hand hoods differ from electric ones by a lower and affordable price. Therefore, if you have a small production, and the lifting of the load is required on a case-by-case basis, the manual hoist will be the most reasonable choice.

In many cases, the choice falls on the manual hoist and there are three reasons for this (small size and weight, a serious load capacity (up to 10 tons), the ability to work in the absence of an electric current). Very often manual hoists are used for mounting of heavier electric hoists. Modern Bulgarian hand hoists are distinguished by high quality of production and quality of operation.

Let's consider cable and chain telphers. In the first, the lifting element is a hoisting cable (which is wound on the drum), and in the second, a particularly strong steel calibrated chain (which rotates by means of a gear). In bridge and gantry cranes, most often cable rope hoists are used, and chain hoists install chain hoists (small weight of chain hoist facilitates its installation).
