How skin diseases develop in children

Baby skin diseases occur at any age. Depending on their nature, skin diseases in children are divided into several types.

1. Allergic dermatoses

These skin diseases in children are characterized by severe itching, the formation of papules or crusts, and skin tightening. They are based on the immune response of the body to allergens. This group includes eczema, urticaria and Quincke edema, neurodermatitis, and others.

2. Cutaneous manifestations of infectious diseases

Scarlet fever

Infectious disease caused by streptococcus, in which the mucous membranes are affected. Scarlet fever begins with a rise in body temperature, then a rash appears on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, which then covers the entire body of the baby.

Rubella

Infectious disease, in which red spots appear throughout the body, accompanied by swelling of the cervical glands.

Measles

Viral disease caused by paramyxovirus. Infection occurs directly during contact with a sick measles by airborne droplets. Having survived measles in childhood, the child receives lifelong immunity against the given virus.

Chickenpox

An infectious disease that is transmitted by direct contact with a virus or a man with chickenpox. Chickenpox, like any of the listed infectious diseases, is better in childhood, because every year it will be harder to transfer this type of virus. Windmill is a rash all over the body, as well as an increase in temperature.

3. Pustular skin diseases in children

This disease causes streptococci and staphylococci, and it manifests itself in the form of pustular eruptions, the size of which is comparable with a pinhead. The most contagious form is pyoderma. Pustular diseases include: abscesses, folliculitis, furuncles.

4. Viral skin diseases in children

Such diseases include: herpes, warts, eczema, molluscum contagiosum.

5. Parasitic diseases

Include scabies, pediculosis, demodectic. These diseases cause parasites that penetrate the skin, while causing itching.

6. Fungal diseases are caused by microscopic fungi, which are very contagious. This includes microsporia, trichophytosis, candidiasis, and others.

Treatment of skin diseases in children

Skin diseases in children are easily cured with the help of medicines, but they should be selected in a way that does not harm the baby even more, since there is a high risk of side effects. An important task is to choose the least toxic variant of the medicine that would harm the growing organism, especially if the rash, depending on the type of disease, is localized on the upper body, scalp and face.

Skin diseases on the legs are not common. In general, rashes on the legs indicate an allergic reaction or a manifestation of the fungus. With active dissemination of the rash, you should urgently consult your doctor.
