How easy is it to learn the multiplication table for your child?

How to help a child learn the multiplication table? This question is of concern to many parents whose children are just starting to learn the basics of mathematics and numeracy. Often, not everyone can boast of excellent knowledge in multiplication. And all because we once did not know how easy it is to learn the multiplication table. It was given to us with difficulty, and not everyone had the strength and desire to learn it well.

Today, we want the best for our children - that our child is the most intelligent, the most responsible, the most capable. A multiplication table is a compulsory material in the school course of mathematics. It is used at every step. So you just need to know how easy it is to learn the multiplication table and help your student in this. And it's quite simple to do this, and you and your child will be convinced of this.

So, how easy is it to learn the multiplication table? Of course, simplifying it!

1. First you need to reduce the child's frightening volume of the table. Still ten columns of ten lines is not a sight for the weak. Now it's time to explain to the child the following principle: we must learn the first column and the last one. It's easy! After all, in the first column, the number that we multiply by 1 does not change. And in the last one - to the digit multiplied by 1, it is ascribed to 0. Well, two columns have already been learned, and the table has significantly decreased!

2. Explain that, when multiplying, there is an interesting feature: if you swap the multiplied numbers in places, the result does not change. For example: 2 × 3 = 6 and 3 × 2 = 6. So, the rules in the table are specified twice, and this reduces the volume of the entire table by half! The table has become even smaller!

3. Tell the child that if the number is multiplied by "3", then it was taken 3 times (multiplied by "5" - took 5 times), and so in each column. This can cause difficulty, but multiplying by "2" will definitely pass without problems!

4. Now it's time to deal with the rules, when the numbers multiply themselves. Most of them are remembered without any problems, "rhyme" (2 × 2 = 4, 5 × 5 = 25). Multiplication by "5" and "0" also learns without problems. They always end with "5" and "0", respectively (4 × 5 = 20, 5 × 0 = 0). Having understood all this, the remaining 15 rules, it will not be difficult to learn.

5. And now repeat everything. Repeat until your child firmly grasps all the rules.

How easy is it to learn the multiplication table if the child does not have the same perseverance? Interest it with an interesting game! This should work, especially if other children participate in the game. You can warm up the interest with the help of small tasty prizes.

So, children should take turns to transport in the bodies of machines cubes - building materials. You set the rules.

1 level. Only 20 bricks. But the truck holds only 2. "Driver" loads 2 cubes and carries to the "construction site". And everyone else thinks how many calls it will take to transport everything. When the transportation is over, all will fill out the "commodity-transport waybill" and will understand that 2 × 10 = 20.

2 level. The next "driver" is given 18 "bricks". Its way further, but also the truck is more roomy. Now he can carry 3 cubes. It turns out that 3 × 6 = 18.

Thus, we reach the largest truck that can carry 10 cubes! 10 × 2 = 20. On this first day of transportation will end. And with each new quantity of building materials will increase. And gradually it will reach 100.

You see, you do not have to memorize boring numbers by heart. You can easily learn the multiplication table, if you turn it into an exciting lesson that your child will surely like.
