How does this photographer manage to shoot stunning street scenes without leaving the studio?

Looking at the pictures of Indian photographer Vatsala Kataria, it is impossible to believe that he did them without leaving his studio. Snow-covered mountain peaks, engulfed by the storm of the sea, speeding racing cars look alive and realistic.

Incredible, but breathtaking landscapes young man creates with his own hands. On his desktop in the studio Kataria erects entire worlds, capturing them then on film.

The unique idea of the photographer

Watsal Kataria has always dreamed of creating something unusual. As a commercial photographer, the young man gravitated toward conceptual and miniature photography. One day, Kataria saw a picture of a toy car by the waterfall and wondered if he would be able to do something like this without leaving his house and not spending large sums of money.

The idea seemed interesting to him. Thinking over the concept of future work, the photographer began to implement it.

How does Vatsal Kataria work?

In his work, the photographer decided to abandon the ready-made dioramas and models. He makes each detail independently from the most common materials.

So, to create mountains, Kataria uses gypsum. The old paper helps to shape the hills. The road photographer makes of foam and a mixture of gypsum with black paint, and snow - from baking powder for dough.

Then Kataria applies acrylic paints. This stage of work he considers the most important. After all, it depends on how realistic the images are. Finally, the young man processes them in a graphic editor.

Each project of Kataria requires considerable time. For one job can take from 3 to 15 days. However, the result justifies itself: photos of Kataria look amazing!
