How did the common cow from the food plant become "Stalin's revenge"?
As history shows, a few centuries ago the basis of the Ukrainian borsch was not beet and vegetables, and a valuable nutrient plant - common cow common. A few decades ago it turned into a poisonous and dangerous to human health weed. Previously, from its roots, boiled combustible strong moonshine, and from leaves and stems - rich, to taste like chicken broth, borsch. In the Siberian lands, he was called angelica, or bear paw. Borshchevik ordinary grew on vacant lots and served as a feed for the cattle, and in spring his peasants collected greens to feed themselves.
This plant is pretty. His umbelliferous flowers are large, and the stems reach a height of two meters. Today, the common cow grower grows in garbage dumps and abandoned untreated areas of the earth, seizes areas in meadows and displaces fodder grasses from the lowlands. The fact that he can exhibit aggressive toxic properties, which affect the skin, many do not even guess, because before this was not. The children played in its thickets. Children put on his head, like pumpkin leaves, defending themselves from the sun. Today, out of ten people who have touched this plant, eight are hospitalized in a hospital with severe burns.
Therefore, in the middle of the seventies, telling our Polish friends about the successes in agriculture, our government sincerely invited them to use this experience and endowed them with seeds of the cow grouse, derived by the ingenious Sosnovsky. As a result, it turned out that this plant is unsuitable for feed. Milk after it became bitter and poisonous. The Poles decided that this was a provocation. They called the plant "Stalin's revenge" and burned the plantations to get rid of the grass. And in our country, according to the order coming from above, they continued to grow this poisonous cow-bearer for many years. The photo attached to this article perfectly conveys its external appeal.
But as a result of natural pollination the poisonous properties were transmitted to the weeds. So, recently a case was fixed: the mother and daughter decided to pick a weed growing along the fence, among them there was a common cow commonwalk (the photo shows how large it can be). His mother chopped it off with his sap, and the daughter carried the grass to the ravine. Two days later they were hospitalized with severe skin burns. The treatment took a long time, the same as with thermal damage to the skin. And the doctors immediately said that the traces of these burns will only be in two or three years. Especially dangerous is contact with cow-weevil on sunny hot days.
