Homemade winter spoon-bait for perch. Making lures

A wide range of fishing lures for a predator does not bother fishermen for years, accustomed to making them with their own hands. To convince them that purchased spoon-baits are much better than self-made, almost impossible. But they are right in something. Firstly, a good bait, especially if it's branded, is not cheap, and secondly, a suitable spinner can not always be bought, and thirdly, making a spoon-bait is not such a difficult task.

Let's try to understand these fishermen-masters and independently produce several winter lures for fishing perch. Let's start with the simplest homemade products that do not require soldering and metalworking. Photos of self-made lures, simple in production and popular, are presented below.

Pilker from a spoon

The Pilker is a heavy homogeneous narrow spoon from stainless steel, copper, brass, cupronickel and other metals that are slightly corrosion resistant. It is used for winter vertical gliding of large perch and pike perch.

In order to make the simplest pelican, we need:

  • A typical dessert spoon made of stainless steel or cupronickel;
  • Hacksaw for metal;
  • file;
  • drill;
  • sandpaper;
  • A pair of winding rings;
  • Triple hook.

To begin with it is necessary to be defined with the size of the future spoon-bait. If you plan to hike a large perch, the length of the pellet should be 4-7 cm. After cutting off the workpiece of the desired size with a hacksaw, tamp it with a file and sand it with fine sandpaper. Next, you need to drill the holes along the edges of the workpiece. On the one hand, where the width of the workpiece is larger, we fix the tee of the desired size through the winding ring. Everything, the brook is ready. Such homemade winter baiters per perch well work at medium depths (3-5 m) on water bodies with a moderate current.

Tweezer tweezer

Such a bait can be made from ordinary tweezers, which in their work are usually used by electronics engineers and radio amateurs. Using a hacksaw, you need to cut a piece of 3-5 cm long from one part of the tweezers in such a way that it consists of 2/3 of the smooth part and 1/3 of the knurled part. Next, we fix the file, grind it with sandpaper and drill holes on the hook and leash. Also, you can paint the bait in the right color with the most common nail polish. Small self-made winter tweezers from tweezers are great for catching "sailor" at shallow depths.

The simplest light bait from a tin can

This bait is often used by fans of percussion fishing in deaf-mowing. On her example, you can see for yourself that self-made catchy spoon baits can be made even from what's lying under your feet. For this we need:

  • Tin can (from beer, coffee, canned food, etc.);
  • Scissors for metal;
  • A pair of winding rings;
  • Double or tee size 7-8;
  • awl;
  • sandpaper.

On plain paper, we make an oval drawing with a length of 40 and a width of 20 mm. We cut the tin can and straighten it. By applying a ready-made template to the metal, with the help of an awl we transfer its contours. Cut out the workpiece. Along the edges of the spoon-baits we make holes for the winding rings with an awl and carefully polish everything, removing paint, roughness and burrs.

Next, the future trolley should be bent. This can be done by attaching the workpiece to a conventional kitchen scroll. After that, we fix the winding rings and the hook.

To store such self-made winter spoon baiters per perch, given the thickness of the metal from which they are made, should be separated from other baits, otherwise they will simply lose shape and become unsuitable.

A spoon from the tube

The catchable bait for ice fishing of a striped predator can be made from a conventional tube made of copper or stainless steel with a diameter of 5-10 mm. It is enough to measure the length of 30-50 mm, cut off on both sides obliquely, carefully polish and polish it to shine. Next, you need to drill holes for the winding rings, start them and fix the hook.

Such self-made winter spoon baits for perch are often used for catching on shallow areas with a moderate current.

Edit the lures

Naturally, the described percids, made by hand, can not be compared as a game with branded ones. An approximate drawing, an uneven cut and an inaccurate weight will in any case negatively affect the behavior of the spoon-bait in the water. But still, before the trip to fishing, the bait should be tested and, if necessary, corrected.

You can do it right in the bathroom, filled with water, and even without a fishing rod. I need to tie the spoon to the line and lower it to the bottom. Then you need to make a sharp swing, so that the bait is raised by 30 centimeters, and observe how it will behave, sinking. If the spoon bob falls to the bottom strictly vertically, without making any movements around the axis, then it is configured incorrectly. Such baits rule by bending both in the horizontal and in the vertical plane, as well as by changing the weight of the load.

Spinner "swallowtail"

Now let's move on to more complex designs that involve working with metal and soldering. Any homemade bait for fishing on a predator, having a pronounced game, are executed according to clearly defined drawings. "Swallow's Tail" is no exception.

From materials and tools we will use:

  • Sheet copper 90x30x0.5 mm;
  • Scissors for metal;
  • Soldering iron;
  • solder;
  • awl;
  • Soldering acid;
  • Copper wire with a cross section of 0.6 mm;
  • Single hook No. 4-6;
  • file;
  • sandpaper.

Before you make a bait, you need to decide on its size. For the humpback, its dyne is usually 90 mm, and the width is 15 mm.

On the sheet of copper, we mark the V-shaped blank with a length of 90 mm and a width of 30 mm with a tail cut of 25 mm. Cut it out on the contour with scissors. Preliminarily treating one of the surfaces with soldering acid, we put a thin layer of solder on it with a soldering iron.

Using an awl we draw a longitudinal center line and bend the workpiece in half. Next, the tail plates are brought together in such a way that we have a semblance of a boat. After that, we solder them to each other from the inside.

From the copper wire we make a loop that will be used to attach to the line or the leash. Its maximum diameter should not exceed 3-4 mm. Solder it to the head (narrow) part of the workpiece. After that, we treat the hook with acid and fix it in the tail part of the spoon-bait in the same way. When all this is done, fill the entire inner surface of the workpiece with solder.

Now it was the turn of the file and the sandpaper. All the influxes, notches and burrs should be aligned, and the bait itself is polished and polished to a shine.

Usually, such self-made winter spoon-bait for perch use for fishing in the water column. For a great depth, soldered single hooks should be replaced with a mobile tee of the same size.

The torpedo bait

Another simple lesson is how to make a bait for perch at home from the same materials. On paper, we make a pattern in the form of an elongated drop 30-50 mm in length. The width of the workpiece in the upper part should be 10 mm, in the lower part - 3-5 mm.

We transfer the drawing from the paper to the sheet metal and make 2 identical blanks. Further, with the help of a rounded drummer and thick rubber, we make them convex over the entire area. The inner surface of both halves is treated with acid and covered with a thin layer of solder. From the wire we make 2 loops and solder them to the ends of one of the blanks. Then we add the two halves with convex sides to the outside and join them together, passing the soldering iron along the edges. As a result, we should get a semblance of a long drop. After that, the spoon is peeled and polished to a shine.

Homemade "castmaster"

On the catchability of the "castmaster" - the legendary spoon-bait for steep catching from the company "Akme", knows, perhaps, even the most uninitiated angler. But few people realize that it is easy to make such a bait from a fragment of an ordinary copper tube with a diameter of 6-8 mm. The larger the cross-section, the longer and heavier the baubles will turn out. In addition to the tube you will need:

  • School protractor;
  • Hacksaw for metal;
  • Soldering iron;
  • Soldering acid;
  • solder;
  • file;
  • sandpaper;
  • Drill with a thin drill;
  • Winding rings;
  • Double or triple hook number 7-8.

Attaching the protractor to a certain point on the tube, we designate and draw the first line that extends to the right at an angle of 17 degrees. Further, pushing protractor to the left to 2-3 mm, we draw the second line at an inclination of 23 degrees.

Gently cut the hacksaw on the metal cut the tube according to the planned drawing. As a result, we should get a kind of elongated oblique washer. We process the workpiece with soldering acid from the inside, fill the inner space of the washer with solder. After that, I'll flip it and polish it. The holes for the winding rings are drilled at a distance of 2-3 mm from the edge of the bait.

Homemade winter spoon-type "kastmaster" weighing 1.5-5 g anglers use for fishing on the "sailor" at shallow depths. Such baits can be used for larger fish: humpback, pike perch, pike. The process of their manufacture is similar to that described, but only the diameter of the tube for a large predator, respectively, should be greater (from 10 to 25 mm).
