Hema Malini was born on October 16, 1948 in the town of Ammankudi, located in the state of Tamil Nadu. Since childhood, the girl dreamed of following in the footsteps of her mother (she had a direct relationship to the world of cinema) and become an actress.

In 1961, a film in Tamil called Pandava Vanavasam was released on TV screens. The role of the young dancer was played by Hema Malini. The director of this tape said that the beautiful Indian woman is an absolute lack of talent and does not represent any value for the cinema art. This was a very categorical opinion. World fame

In 1968, a Bollywood film called "The Soldier of Dreams" (Sapnon ka saudagar), starring Hema Malini, appeared on the screens. The filmography of the actress was supplemented with real and significant work. Many consider this picture the debut role of the girl. Together with her on one site, Raj Kapoor was filmed.

In 1972, Hema starred in the film Zita and Gita. The role of the twin sisters brought the actress world-wide fame.

During the filming of one of the films, the actress met a bright and charismatic Dharmendra. They immediately liked each other, but upbringing did not allow the girl to have a relationship with a married man. And her parents did not approve of friendship with the family man. However, the actor did not abandon attempts to conquer the heart of the beauty. In 1978, the father of the actress died of a heart attack. If it were not for this sad event, the girl hardly decided to take the next step. In 1980, they married Hema Malini and Dharmendra. The filmography of the pair has more than forty paintings. However, not only on the site they are doing well. Family relations of the couple also resemble a movie: an unpromising meeting turned into a successful marriage and the birth of two daughters - Akhana and Asha.
