And since 1886, the sediments from the bottom of the reservoir have been extracted and used for treatment in the resorts of the Caucasus. Now the process of mining mud is automated, fed to the place of treatment, it is also mechanically, which not only makes it possible to receive procedures for more people, but also preserves its healing properties better. According to experts, the stock of mud is enough for at least 200 years, but its volume is constantly updated. To do this, add water from the well to the lake, feed the microorganisms that are involved in the production of this curative substance.

Many tourists who first came to Tambukanskoe lake did not like it there. Of course, the smell on the shore is specific, albeit not strong. And the water is dark, it seems that it is dirty. The coast is mostly steep, and the bottom is very muddy. Therefore, they go there mainly to heal the famous Tambukan mud. Some people say that recently they began to pay a fare to the lake, which is not very popular with local residents. But still enjoys the popularity of Tambukanskoe Lake. Rest on it is very peculiar. Some like the salty warm water of the reservoir, its picturesque surroundings. Others note that the shore is dirty. But all the same they go there from all over Russia.
