While the visitors here have a lot of options, what kind of rest to choose, in one of the tourist centers: where everything will be almost like at home or without the usual amenities, but directly on the nature.

In this regard, especially lucky residents of Ulan-Ude, as only two hours drive from the capital of Buryatia is a village and one of the most famous resorts of the republic "Goryachinsk". Conditions for tourists here are created so that everyone can choose what he likes. This applies to accommodation, leisure, and treatment procedures, and pricing policies.

Location

In the quite convenient place from the point of view of transportation nodes is the resort "Goryachinsk". Buryatia is famous for this health resort for more than two centuries, so they come here from Russia and from other countries. They opened the resort in the village of the same name, which grew directly on the shore of Lake Baikal, and stretched deep into the forest for more than a kilometer.

The eponymous sanatorium from the lake is about three hundred meters away. Not far from the village lie other lakes of the region, the largest of which is called Kotokel. Buryatia, unfortunately, can not yet boast of a highly developed communication infrastructure, but the P438 regional road is completely passable to Goryachinsk and further to Barguzin in summer and winter. It is a little more than 175 km from the resort to Ulan-Ude, and only 7 km to the Turka village. Another large Siberian city, located relatively close to Goryachinsk - is Irkutsk. On the straight line through the forest and the lake up to it only 282 km, but along the motorway the distance increases almost twice and is equal to 543 km, or nearly 13 hours (taking into account the condition of local highways).

How to get there

In the sanatorium "Goryachinsk" the most optimal option is from the capital of Buryatia. In this city you can arrive by plane or train. Then take a taxi or a minibus to the bus station "Yuzhny" ("Selenga"), from where the scheduled buses go to the resort. All of them passing. Bus number 301 follows to the village of Maximikha, where there is also a rest area, and bus number 302 goes to Ust-Barguzin direction. The journey time to Goryachinsk takes about 2.5 hours.

For car enthusiasts it is also easiest to get to a resort from Ulan-Ude, for which you need to go to the Barguzinsky highway (P438). The road for a while leads past settlements through the forest, and after the village Gremyachinsk passes along Lake Baikal.
