Going camping? So you need trekking shoes

An important element of the equipment on foot is reliable and comfortable footwear. If you are planning to walk dozens of kilometers, you should understand that doing this in uncomfortable shoes will be very problematic.

Many people think that sneakers are suitable for hiking in the mountains. But you need to take into account that this footwear was designed for movement in a city or sports ground. It does not protect from moisture, it is difficult to dry, the sole is not strong enough and can break from contact with a sharp stone, campfires can melt at the fire.

Therefore, if you are serious, the only reasonable solution is specialized tracking shoes. In Russia, you can now buy it in almost all sports stores. We are widely represented trekking shoes Salomon, Lowa, Scarpa, Asolo, Garmont, as well as lesser known Polish, Czech and other companies.

The most burnt shoes are designed for climbing high mountains (4-5 thousand meters). It is very stiff, with soles designed for rocky terrain, ice-cold ice or a gratcher. It is convenient to hang snowshoes, cats. However, prolonged movement in it is very tiring.

All trekkingovaya shoes are characterized by high wear resistance, good ankle support and a special sole that has good adhesion to the surface. Often, it installs a membrane that protects from moisture and allows the foot to "breathe".

For medium tracking (and light) there are special shoes. For crossings along trails, screes and rocks it is better to choose shoes from leather or kozhzama. But if you plan to move on wet snow, then it is worth buying shoes with a membrane Gore-tex. It best protects against getting wet. Winter trekking shoes should be particularly reliable.

When choosing shoes, you need to pay attention to such moments:

  • The tongue of the shoe and the top of the shoe must be one piece to protect the feet from moisture when crossing over streams, over dewy grass, etc .;
  • Inside there should be no seams, palpable hands;
  • For laces should be a special sewn on top loops, not holes;
  • On the ankles should be laid soft lining;
  • The toe should be reinforced with a metal gasket;
  • The outsole must be rigid, firm and waterproof (Vibram technology).

For hiking in warm dry areas (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, etc.), such trekking shoes as sneakers are quite suitable. They differ from the running ones with a special sole providing better adhesion to the rocky surface, which prevents the leg from slipping when moving along rocky paths, wet ground. Their more rigid designs protect the sole from unevenness, small stones that are perfectly felt in soft shoes. Reinforced lateral parts and a sock extend the life of such shoes. There are sneakers with "breathable" inserts from a special material for ventilation.

Trying shoes are used on a thin woolen socks, it is not tightened tightly. Train both shoes and walk around for a few minutes. No pressure should be felt either in the area of the fingers or in the area of the ankles.
