GAZ-32213 - pride of the domestic auto industry

The history of the development and creation of the model includes many stages. Since the Soviet Union, the Gorky Automobile Plant has been the absolute leader in the production of medium-tonnage trucks. Its products were actively used in all branches of the national economy. It was at this time that the question was raised about creating a small low-tonnage car, since not everyone could contain a huge and gluttonous GAZ-53. Gorky Design Bureau has started to create a completely new series of low-tonnage machines, which will later become popular among people "Gazelle". Originally it was planned to create onboard "Gazelek", but in 1996 the Gorky plant started serial production of the GAZ-32213 minibus. It had the same characteristics and the same carrying capacity (1500 kilograms). And for that in a moment he became very popular.

From the assembly line came minibuses in various body variations. It was both cargo and passenger vans. There were 2 versions of the body in terms of the height of the cabin, as well as three options for the number of passenger seats.

The minivans differ from each other and according to technical characteristics - the machine is equipped with three variants of engines (all of them are petrol and run on AI-92). Also, GAZelle is supplied with the following units: UMZ-4215 and ZMZ models 4025 and 4026. They work together with a manual gearbox for 5 speeds. With a body length of 5.5 meters, the wheelbase is 2.9 meters. The minivan has a tank of 70 liters capacity. At the same time, the average fuel consumption of Gorkovskiy miracle is no more than 12 liters per 100 kilometers of run.

It is worth noting that the car was primarily created as a minivan for corporate transportation. But because of its low cost and unpretentiousness in service, the new GAZ-32213 was actively used by private companies engaged in route transport. Soon, a more capacious version of Gazelle was developed, with a large number of passenger seats, optimally suited for route transport (model 2705).

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the advantages of "GAZelle" is its maneuverability and ease of operation (despite the lack of power steering). Thanks to the extended hood, there is free access to the engine. The cab has an excellent view and an adjustable steering wheel. Very reliable braking system. The disadvantages include poor build quality, frequent engine overheating in summer, poor quality of plastic cladding elements (they simply melt at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius). There is no normal ventilation in the cabin. The clutch disc needs to be changed almost every season (with a frequency of 10 thousand kilometers).
