The beginning in the youth of Chelyabinsk

Anton Vladimirovich Glinkin was born on October 28, 1988 in Chelyabinsk. As a child, he fell in love with a game of hockey, and his parents wrote him to the sports school of the local "Tractor". Seeking to break through in the course of his career in the main part of the club, speaking in the Russian Super League, the young striker showed an excellent game in the attack, hitting coaches with his performance. As a result, at the age of 15, Glinkin was invited to speak for the second train of "tractor drivers".

Two years in the First League - the current Youth Hockey League - passed for the player quite fruitfully, and although he did not go to the ice in every meeting, in 2006 the striker moved to the league level higher. Caught in the local "Mechel", who played in the Higher League - the second division of Russia, Anton Glinkin immediately won a place in the basis. The result of the regular appearance on the ice was the high performance of the young hockey player - only in his first season he managed to conquer the mark of 23 points. This success forced to pay attention to the player's coaching staff of "Tractor", and for the championship 2007/08 Glinkin was declared for the main team.

Start in the KHL

The first season in the Super League, renamed soon to the Continental Hockey League, did not become a serious breakthrough for the Russian. For "Tractor" Anton Glinkin spent only 11 games, noting one productive pass, and most of the time again spending in "Mechel". However, in 2009, the striker finally got into the main cage of the Chelyabinsk club and throughout the season contributed to the confident performance of the team. Over 59 games played, Glinkin reached the mark of 20 points.

2010 also went for the player, as well as for the team, fruitfully, but not very successfully - "Tractor" took 4th place in Kharlamov's division, and in the playoffs the Chelyabinsk players flew in the first round - Anton Glinkin's goal in the gates of Magnitogorsk " Metallurg ", which was the first for the player in the Cup, did not save the team from defeat with a final score of 1: 3. A year later the high performance of the striker remained unnoticed against the backdrop of the club's failure, but it marked the beginning of the successful performance and the first medals of the "Tractor" in the history of the KHL.

First Steps to Fame

The season of 2011/12 started for "Tractor" is not very successful - the team was difficult to give points in the championship, however, including thanks to the effective performance of Glinkin, the business of the club soon improved. As a result, Chelyabinsk won an early victory in their division, ahead of the nearest pursuer, Magnitogorsk Metallurg, by 20 points. In the playoffs the team managed to easily pass the first two stages, beating "Ugra" and "Ak Bars", but in the final of the Eastern Conference on the path of "Tractor" was "Vanguard", which turned out to be stronger. As a result, "tractor drivers", including Anton Glinkin, who collected 24 points per season, became owners of "bronze", as well as winners of the Continental Cup, having shown the best result in the KHL.

A year later, "Tractor" was able to again be on the podium - finishing second in the division, the Chelyabinsk men made their way to the playoffs, where they confidently sorted out with their last year's offender - "Vanguard", reaching the Gagarin Cup final. In the struggle for the trophy "tractor drivers" lost to the capital's Dynamo in a stubborn struggle - Anton Glinkin in this confrontation became the author of an effective transfer, which became scoring in the third match of the series.

After a loud success Anton Glinkin became one of the key players of the team, subsequently in two seasons in succession showing a result of over 30 points in the regular championship. However, after the championship of 2015/16 the joint history of "Tractor" and the Russian striker ended.

Moving to Kazan

In 2016, Anton Glinkin, a hockey player who throughout the career played for Chelyabinsk teams, of whom 8 years was the basis of "Tractor", decided to change the club by signing a contract with the Kazan "Ak Bars". As part of the "dragons", the striker immediately turned out to be one of the base players, for the first 54 meetings, gaining 25 points. At the moment, the Kazan club is the third in the Eastern Conference and is one of the main contenders for the struggle for medals in the draw of the playoffs.
