Fish-stuck - sea shade

Fish-stuck - one of the most amazing creatures inhabiting the World Ocean. Practically all their life they spend, having attached to various "owners" with the help of the first dorsal fin, displaced to the top of the head and transformed during the evolutionary process into a special sucker having the shape of an oval disk. These fish were repeatedly found on cetaceans, rays, dolphins, turtles and even on sea vessels. Fish-sticking even the most bloodthirsty predators of the seas and oceans - sharks - manage to turn into a comfortable and comfortable "vehicle".

According to the biological classification, these unusual marine creatures belong to the family of bone detachments of perciform luper-ray types. They are widely distributed in the waters of the subtropical and tropical seas. Fish-stuck - not just an amazing creature, it is a vivid example of the evolutionary adaptability of biological organisms to different conditions of existence. The fact is that nature did not provide it with a swimming bladder, which allows to regulate the depth of immersion. And fish-sticking has found a completely original solution, using as a "means of transport" of larger marine creatures.

Different types of these unusual inhabitants of the underwater world prefer quite certain "owners", not only significantly facilitating their long trips, but in many cases playing a very important role in their lives. The most independent in its choice is the so-called ordinary stuck. Unlike other "sticking" relatives, he has a certain propensity for independent life and often travels in proud solitude. By the way, it is one of two species of representatives of this family (the second is shark remor), inhabiting Russian territorial waters.

Young fish-sticking initially exists in an autonomous mode and starts actively sucking to floating objects only after reaching a size of more than four centimeters. Fish-stuck at this stage of development chooses for themselves satellites of small fishes, for example, bodies and puffers. For a long time it was believed that these representatives of marine fauna are fed solely by the remnants of food of their large "masters". But it is not so. Their diet is dominated by plankton and small animal organisms living in the water column, as well as the "parasite" exoparasites.

Unlike the ordinary one, the shark of the remorque is connected with its bloodthirsty "vehicle" by much stronger bonds. It is a real sea shade, everywhere unceasingly following its toothy "mistress." Such fish-sniffers and sharks are a vivid example of the biological tandem and the perfection of the ecosystem of the planet. The basis of the menu of remoras are small invertebrate parasites - copepods, which live on a shark's body, which, undoubtedly, brings a great advantage to the predator.

Apparently, the remorse in general can not exist absolutely independently. Up to now, this species has been found to adhere only to those attached to the shark, mainly in its gill cavity, where there is free access of water to the respiratory apparatus of the remor without any effort on its part. It is also interesting that the sharks taken from the shark of this type and placed in the aquarium felt extremely uncomfortable, one might even say badly. Remors showed signs of "heavy breathing", making more than two hundred respiratory movements per minute.

Also characteristic and rather unusual feature of many species adheres is their ability to change their color. In general, the size of adult fish-adherents ranges from 30 cm to one meter. The boundaries of their habitats are approximately 20 - 50 m.
