Explain to the children why it is impossible to destroy bird nests
Children are curious beings. In their study of the surrounding world, they are eager to touch everything, to consider. Should I blame them if they are drawn to an accidentally discovered bird's nest? There lie little bluish or white eggs, and maybe tiny, covered with delicate fluff, fledglings. It is clear the desire of the baby to cling to such hilarious chicks. But the duty of the parents is to explain to the child what this threatens the brood, why it is impossible to destroy the nests of birds. If, of course, adults themselves understand this.
Many birds are very careful. Even the plumage of females in some species of birds differs from the color of males in its camouflage color: it sits on the nest, fearing that it is not noticed with the children, and the too bright male distracts attention in the event of a nearby predator. But if you come to their dwelling, take the chicks in hand or even just bend over them, the frightened parents will no longer fly to their children, and they will simply die of hunger. That's why you even need to accurately shoot the nest of birds on the camera. Photos taken near, just doom the chicks to death.
Sometimes it happens that the chick dumps out of the nest and remains alive. You can help him get home again, but you need to be extremely careful. Avoid keeping it long in your hands. Why? You can not destroy the nests of birds, and if there is your smell in the nest, you will not save the fallen yellow-throat, and destroy the remaining chicks. Take the box, quickly put the fallen down there, wait until both parents leave the house in search of food, and only then climb on the tree.
However, there are cases when demolishing the nest is just necessary. Weavers are small birds of Africa, whose photos are very beautiful, they make huge dwellings in which they live in colonies. And they are so hospitable that they give shelter to other birds. But if before the weavers chose tall trees for building their "multi-apartment buildings", now they are increasingly making support for the construction of a high-voltage transmission line. This often leads to short circuits and fires. To prevent them, "stacks" of weavers are demolished.
