The Mite

The main pest of the currant is the kidney mite, which causes bloating of the kidneys, into which the female mite climbs. When the foliage falls, such buds are seen very well. They need to be collected and burned - this is the most effective way to fight the tick. If most of the bush is infected, then they cut down and burn the entire bush. But if the kidneys are revealed, and the bush is not rendered harmless, the pests will come out of their homes and infest adjacent bushes. They will do this very quickly, because one kidney can hide in itself up to 10 thousand mite larvae! It is very attractive for this parasite black currant. Diseases of the bush that arise because of it, it is customary to call mahrovost.

Blackcurrant sawfly

This bush is very often affected by the black-rooted sawfly. The parasite makes egg laying during the period of ovary formation. The larvae live inside of them and feed on seeds. Berries as a result ripen much faster and become well visible on the bush. Such fruits are collected and destroyed, otherwise the caterpillar will come out of the fruit and on the cobwebs will descend into the soil for the winter season, so that for the next season it will regale the fruits from this bush. This is how the black currant becomes inedible. Diseases of this species can not be treated with pesticides, since the larva develops during the appearance of the herrings, but it is possible to spray the bush with such means as "Fitoverm" or "Agravertin".

Gooseberries

The fire is hovering under the bush. Before the flowering currants from the pupae of the parasite, butterflies appear and come out to the light to leave offspring on the flowers. A black currant is very fond of a gooseberries. Diseases   From this parasite develop on the flowers of the bush. All ovaries are gnawed by larvae. Berries differ in that they are completely entangled in spider webs. They are collected and burned, and under the bush to the ground put cellophane. It is acceptable to use drugs such as "Fitoverm" or "Iskra-bio."

Glass Bug

This parasite is also happy to devour the black currant. Diseases spread from bird cherry, so planting currants near these trees is not recommended. The butterfly butterflies appear at the time of raspberry bloom, so measures should be taken during the same period. A black currant bush should be sprinkled with a solution of onion peel or tansy, wormwood or needles, as well as the stepsons of tomatoes. The branches of needles and tomatoes can be decomposed in the bushes of the currant.
