Emoksipin (eye drops) is an angioprotector. The drug reduces the permeability of the vessel wall, the aggregation of platelets and the viscosity of the blood. Eye drops "Emoxipin" are an antioxidant, antihypoxant and inhibit the processes of free radicals. The drug, with retinoprotective properties, protects the retina from the damaging effect of intense light, improves microcirculation, promotes resorption of hemorrhages within the eye.

The "Emoxipin" tool describes the instruction as a universal stabilizer of membrane structures in the reticular ocular membrane. The medicine is able to protect the retina from hyperbaric oxygenation (using oxygen under high pressure), to prevent the development of functional disorders due to the appearance of hemorrhages inside the organ of vision.

The drug increases the resistance (resistance) of erythrocytes to hemolysis (disintegration) and mechanical trauma, lowers the overall coagulation index, enhances the process of dissolution of blood clots (fibrinolysis), increases the time for blood clotting.

When using Emoxipine, the active ingredient does not enter the systemic bloodstream in the biologically active amount. Once instilled, a therapeutic concentration can be achieved in the tissues of the eye. Accumulation in organs and tissues does not occur. After application in the first two hours in the blood, the concentration of the drug decreases very quickly, and after twenty-four hours the drug is completely absent in it.

The drug is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of burns and inflammation in the cornea, hemorrhages in the anterior eye chamber. The medication is indicated for myopia (myopia) of a high degree, accompanied by dystrophic changes in the retina. The drug "Emoxipin" instruction allows for use in diabetic retinopathy. The medication is also used when using contact lenses to protect the cornea, when exposed to intense light to protect the retina (with laser coagulation, laser and sunburn).

The drug is contraindicated in admission during pregnancy, with individual intolerance. Data on the use of the drug for lactation is not enough, you should consult a doctor.

Emoxipine. Instructions for use

The drug is designed for instillation (instillation) one to two drops in the conjunctival sac two or three times a day. The duration of therapy is prescribed by a specialist in accordance with the course of the disease. The treatment course can last from three to thirty days, (with good tolerability and the presence of indications - up to six months). Repeat therapy, if necessary, is carried out after four to six months.

The use of Emoxipin can cause short-term congestion hyperemia, itching, burning. In rare cases, allergic reactions (local) are noted. As a rule, the side effects are short-lived and do not cause the drug to be withdrawn. However, with persistent negative effects, it is necessary to stop using Emoxipine and contact the doctor.

It is not recommended to mix the drug with other medicines. If you need to use any other drops, Emoxipine is used last, after the absolute absorption of the previous remedy (not earlier than in fifteen minutes).

Many patients report a good tolerability of the drug. The medication has no influence on the ability to concentrate attention, the speed of psychomotor reactions, to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms.
