Elokom cream 0.1% is available in tubes and is intended for external use with inflammation of the skin. This drug has antiexudative, local anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effect.

The main active substance that is a part of this drug is mometasone furoate, auxiliary substances - phosphoric acid, cetyl stearyl ether, titanium dioxide, stearic alcohol, white wax, octenylsuccinate, which is obtained from starch, purified water and white petrolatum.

Elokom cream is prescribed in the presence of inflammatory reactions, as well as when itching occurs during dermatosis, if they are amenable to SCS therapy. Penetration of this drug through the skin is insignificant.

The use of this drug helps induce the release of lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. There is a retardation of the release of their common precursor, which is arachidonic acid.

At the moment, the action of mometasone furoate on pregnant and lactating mothers has not been studied.
