Electric brewing machines. How to make an electric home-made device with your own hands?

What is electric moonshine machines, what are they for and what are their features? Cases of poisoning with "burned" alcohol in our country, unfortunately, are not uncommon. And the damage to health is caused not only by the infamous "hawthorn" or windshield liquid, you can easily run into the poison in a night stall, and in a well-known network supermarket. Therefore, for a long time nobody is surprised by the fact that more and more of our citizens are switching to homemade alcoholic beverages, in particular, to moonshine.

A good moonshine is in many ways a good home-made device. As the experienced moonshiners say, even from ordinary beet sugar it is possible to get a decent, high-quality drink without the fusel odor and unpleasant aftertaste. But there is a condition - a competently maintained temperature regime of sublimation.

And in this sense, electric moonshapes are much more convenient than other "fellow" ones.

How does it work?

The basis of the work of any home-made device is the physical principle of separating liquids according to their boiling points. Thus, ethyl alcohol at normal atmospheric pressure boils at about 78 ° C, while the boiling point of water is known to be 100 ° C.

Thus, if the temperature between 78 and 100 ° C is kept in a certain container containing a solution of water (H 2 O) and ethyl alcohol (H 6 O 3 ), it will be the alcohol that will be boiled out. And evaporate will be partly water, and the higher the temperature in the vat, the more intense its evaporation. Therefore, most efficiently operate devices that maintain a temperature just above 78 degrees. An electric brewery with a thermoregulator is an ideal solution to the problem.

Of what the moonshine consists

Electric brewing machines differ from ordinary ones only as a source of heat, but otherwise their device has not changed at all since the invention of the distillation cube by Arab doctors in the very beginning of the second millennium. A mixture of ethyl alcohol and water is poured into the container (evaporator), as a rule, it is a brag. Under the influence of a heat source, the components of the brew start to boil, the first, naturally, boils alcohol.

On the tube, a couple of spirits enter the cooler. Lowering the temperature leads to the condensation of alcohol vapors. Thus, alcohol again turns into a liquid state, only without water. But it's in theory, in practice it's not so simple. Water vapor together with alcohol vapors fall into the tank, lowering the degree of the drink. An electric home-made device with a dry cell allows to obtain a stronger product due to the partial condensation of water vapor in a special glass.

Electric brewing machines for direct heating

The diagram shows various electric brewing machines, depending on the method of heating the barge. The simplest option is the first in the list - the direct heating apparatus. Its device differs from the traditional, placed on the fire, the presence of an electric heater, mounted in one of the walls of the container of the evaporator.

The heater is inserted into pre-prepared holes through special threaded bushings with gaskets made of heat-resistant rubber. Such an option will work perfectly with a brag of sugar raw materials, but when making malt or grain moonshine on it, difficulties may arise: the grain mass will be burned to TENs, it will become charred, and then the taste of the drink will be hopelessly spoiled. The distillation of bread raw material in such a device can be made only by first filtering it through flannel fabric, but this will lead to a decrease in the yield of the product.

Heating through an intermediate tank

The problem is solved indirectly by heating the barge. How to make an electric home-made device with your own hands, so that the remains of the grain in the brew are not burned? The simplest technical solution is to place the evaporator in a basin of boiling water (option No. 2 on the diagram). Water in a basin or in another capacity is heated by electricity, heat is transmitted through the evaporator wall to the barge.

In this case, the temperature inside the evaporator, by definition, can not exceed 100 ° C, which eliminates the burning of plant residues. In such a device, the brew is poured without filtering it beforehand, and this increases the yield of the drink from the N-th amount of raw material (the degrees do not go away with pressing).

The disadvantage of this option is that the water in the pelvis will gradually evaporate, so it will have to be poured periodically. And that the process does not stop, pour hot water.

Professional electric homeowner

And finally, the last one in the picture shows a professional electric home-made apparatus. It is quite difficult to create such a mini-factory with your own hands, but it lacks the drawback of the previous variant (evaporation of water) and can be made of any sizes.

The device for heating water in it is a full-fledged electric hot water boiler with a surge tank.

The heated coolant is transported through a special heat exchanger made of bent pipe and mounted in the evaporator housing.

Such brewing devices are usually made for a volume of at least a ton of braga (placing a container of this size in any pelvis is problematic). Movement of the coolant through the pipes is most often carried out under the influence of natural thermal circulation, although the process can be assisted by installing a conventional pump for heating systems.

Provision of temperature regime

So, ethyl alcohol begins to evaporate at a temperature of 78 ° C. How to maintain the necessary temperature regime? The simplest option is to control the thermometer and turn on / off the electric heater manually.

However, the achievement of technical progress is what exists to facilitate and automate certain processes. How to make an electric home-made device capable of independently maintaining the optimum temperature for the process? Just use the ready-made regulator designed to maintain the set temperature in the heating and water supply systems.

The assembly diagram is shown in the figure. The heater will automatically turn on and off, keeping the temperature of the liquid in the specified range.

Advantages of the moonshine on electricity

Compared with traditional electric home-made devices have a number of advantages:

- compactness (if you mean the dimensions of the whole apparatus with a gas or wood source of heat);

- the possibility of very accurately and even automatically to withstand the temperature regime of the sublimation process;

- Mobility of installation: the device can easily be placed anywhere in the house or giving, even in the yard, a simple electrical extension cable is enough.

Security measures

While doing home-brewing, it is necessary to remember that the heating of the brew occurs in a closed volume at a sufficiently high temperature and a product is prepared that must be consumed inside. And therefore:

- it is necessary to monitor the cleanliness of the steam-conducting pipes, to prevent their clogging, in order to avoid the growth of pressure in the apparatus and, accordingly, its explosion;

- At the beginning of the sublimation, a small amount of methyl alcohol evaporates (its small amount is in any brew), its boiling point is 64 ° C, which is 12 ° C below the boiling point of ethanol. Therefore, the first 50 milliliters of moonshine from every 10 liters of brag must be collected separately and in no case should not be consumed as a drink.
