Pharmacological action of the drug

Particularly successful is the use of this drug in diseases caused by staphylococcus, streptococcus and pneumococcus, as well as when the body is infected with anaerobic infection (ie, in which bacteria can exist without oxygen).

Described medicine reduces inflammation, softens pain, and when resorbed tablets, helps to clean the mouth and throat from microorganisms.

How to apply paste

Method of preparation of aqueous, alcoholic and fatty solutions

The described preparation is a liquid of light yellow color, which, interacting with water, forms an opalescent (light-scattering) solution. When shaken, it strongly foams.

Applicable only locally. Note! Because of the risk of hemolysis (destruction of erythrocytes followed by the release of hemoglobin) or phlebitis (inflammation of the walls of venous vessels), it is unacceptable to insert into a vein.

• For the aqueous solution, the contents are extracted from the ampoule with a syringe and diluted in distilled or ordinary drinking water (in a ratio of 1: 100). The prepared medicine can be consumed within the next three days.
• With a 70 percent medical alcohol mix in a ratio of 1: 100.
• A fatty ointment is made when diluting the original drug with castor oil, lanolin or fish oil (1:25).

Both alcohol and fat solutions can be stored for about a year at 20 ° C.

The antibiotic "Gramicidin", mixed with water, is used for washing wounds, irrigating dressings, wetting tampons, etc. They rinse their throats, use them to treat ear illnesses, decubitus (necrosis of the tissues that appear as a result of constant pressure on them during lying), and also for purging of purulent wounds, ulcers, carbuncles, furuncles and other diseases.

Alcoholic solution is useful in purulent skin diseases: they lubricate affected areas up to 3 times a day.
