Diet in gastritis with high acidity: what and how to eat during illness

Diet with gastritis with high acidity is designed to significantly reduce the activity of gastric juice. After all, if this is not done, then the acid substance produced by the cells of the mucous membrane of the main digestive organ can simply burn it, causing a lot of other problems.

It is worth mentioning that the diet for gastritis with high acidity is based on three different principles. In order to understand what they are, consider each of them in more detail.

  1. Refusal of food, which can mechanically affect the gastric mucosa. Such products include radish, wiry meat, turnip, trout, muesli, bran products, black bread, white cabbage, celery. In other words, it is necessary to exclude from the diet rough and fibrous cellulose. It is also necessary to abandon the dishes fried in oil.
  2. Refusal of food, which can chemically affect the gastric mucosa. Thus, ingredients that unnecessarily induce gastric secretion should be avoided. These products include alcoholic drinks, carbonated water, citrus fruits (oranges, mandarins, grapefruits), as well as juices from them, coffee, cocoa and strong fish, meat and mushroom broths.
  3. In addition, a diet with gastritis with high acidity recommends that you give up too hot or, conversely, cold dishes, as this can act irritatingly on the esophagus and stomach. The optimum temperature of food for a sick person should vary from 15 to 60 degrees.

In order to understand what and how to eat when there is or exacerbation of such a disease, we bring to your attention a detailed daily menu.
