Defender of the Fatherland Day

Today, the Defender of the Fatherland Day is celebrated on February 23rd. And not so long ago it was considered the Day of the Soviet Army, and at the same time - the Navy. This date was established in memory of the victories of the Red Army in 1918 over the German invaders near Narva and Pskov.

The holiday was never a day off, but among the people he was always in equal status on March 8, as if speaking as a male couple to this women's day. That's why we celebrated it quite cheerfully and widely.

The Day of the Soviet Army changed its status already in 2000. And from that time began to carry the name "Defender of the Fatherland Day". In addition, it became an official holiday, and therefore - a day off. Many people have appreciated such innovations. But, like many years ago, they continue to perceive it not as a holiday of the military, but as the day of all men.

Not only in Russia, but also in many other countries, the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the state were highly appreciated. And for the Russian state an integral part of his greatness was the dedication and courage of Russian soldiers, as well as the worldwide glory and power of her weapons.

Since all men, regardless of their age, and whether they served in the army someday or not, are potential defenders of their country, congratulations on the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland are usually given to all without exception. After all, it is likely that in troubled times, men will necessarily show their courage, courage, strength and endurance.

It should be noted that this day is called upon to inform and remind everyone of the military glory that Russian troops deserved in the fields of numerous battles. In this day, originally there was a high meaning - no matter what to love your Motherland, and in case of acute necessity it is worthy to be able to defend it. And the Russian soldiers defended their native land more than once. And the Russian soldier always did his duty with honor.

Whatever difficulties the Russian Army is experiencing today in connection with the complicated process in the Armed Forces, each of us, thanks to the true patriots and defenders of our Motherland, can live peacefully in peacetime and enjoy the pure sky overhead daily.

Already more than one decade in our country the tradition is observed to celebrate Defender of the Fatherland Day publicly and widely, with soul. It is customary for us to celebrate it with particular warmth and solemnity, whether it is a family circle or a society of colleagues. We always try especially warmly to congratulate our defenders, because our men once fought for peace and peace for future generations, and repeatedly defended their homeland worthy.

As a rule, many different events take place on this day. Practice laying on the monuments of flowers and wreaths to all those who once defended the honor and prowess of their country. There are also numerous ceremonial meetings. It does not do without festive concerts, unforgettable fireworks and bright powerful salutes.

In addition, not only on the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, they recall the courage, strength, endurance, responsibility and duty. For several days in February in educational institutions lessons of courage, meetings of schoolchildren with veterans of military operations, educational hours, excursions to monuments and to museums of military glory are held.

All men feel the special attitude to themselves all this day. After all, this holiday is exclusively for them. Therefore, on the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the congratulations will be heard by all the representatives of the stronger sex, without exception.

But besides congratulations and flattering pleasant words addressed to them, each of them will receive gratitude, respect and, of course, gifts. Because who, if not the men, care about peace and peace on this earth?
