Curfew for teens

In 2009, the law, which describes the basic guarantees of the rights of the child, was amended significantly, relating to the comedic hours for persons who are not yet 18 years of age. Under this law, minors can not be on the street or in other public places without adults between 22.00 and 6.00. The tragedy that occurred in Pervouralsk pushed the State Duma to describe the amendment, then a drunken crowd crushed three underage schoolgirls during a disco. It should be noted that earlier the curfew only extended to children under 14 years old.

Nevertheless, the said law allows the subjects of the Russian Federation to reduce the age of persons falling under the curfew. True, not more than 2 years. It is also allowed to slightly change the concept of night time, given the season and climatic conditions. For example, in the Ulyanovsk region, the curfew does not begin from 10 pm, but from 11. Also in many regions of Russia, the transition to the summer curfew is practiced (meaning its beginning at 23.00). As for students or working teenagers, they are provided with special certificates from their place of study and work. If law enforcement bodies detain minors violating the curfew, their parents are threatened with a warning or a fine of up to 500 rubles.

Some of these additions were made personally by Dmitry Medvedev. In particular, he stressed that minors can not appear unaccompanied by parents at night or in the late evening in public places such as cafes, bars, clubs, restaurants, gambling establishments, concert halls, cinemas, discos, etc. Curfew for minors Operates not only in Russia, but also in most civilized countries of the world. This law applies not only to young people. In Moscow, very recently, a kind of curfew began for transit trucks. So, since March 2013, these vehicles are prohibited from moving within the MKAD and along the ring road between 6.00 and 22.00. Officials are confident that such an innovation will unload important transport routes in Moscow. It is worth noting that 30% of the transport that was moving along the Moscow Ring Road was a freight one.
