Congratulations on Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day is one of the most favorite school holidays. Having worked in the school for more than 20 years, I know very well how much fun both pupils and teachers bring this holiday.

To him, we with the children usually prepared together: no matter how creative the students were, they still remain children, they need help, guidance.

Preparations for the holiday we often took place in several stages.

On the first, children were divided into creative groups, assigned responsibilities, and thought out key points. At the second stage they conducted preliminary training: they asked the teachers what music they liked, what they liked, what they were addicted to. Then they composed congratulations on Teacher's Day. Usually, for each teacher, several congratulations were prepared.

The first is serious, formal, beautifully written on a polygraphic card or other factory letterhead, they were handed over at the final concert, accompanied by flowers, words of gratitude and confessions. Such congratulations for Teacher's Day can be prepared by high school students, and signed by the school's management.

The second is comic, funny, written or painted on homemade scrolls, handmade postcards. Usually such comic congratulations for the Teacher's Day were given to teachers before the lessons or were part of the festive scenario. I have dozens of such congratulations collected over the years. These comic congratulations on Teacher's Day usually deliver much more pleasure than official ones, because they reflect the feelings of children, emphasize those traits of the teacher, which are most often noticed by schoolchildren.

When the "written" were ready, the students began to prepare "oral" congratulations for the Teacher's Day. They were divided into two types: a huge congratulatory newspaper and a festive script.

The highlight of the newspaper has always been friendly caricatures of teachers, funny congratulations on Teacher's Day, comic poems on the activities of teachers.

On the day of the celebration, the school radio sounded music, prepared at the request of teachers, and after the lessons there was a concert.

The festive scenario, of course, has always been different, but a little standard, as, indeed, in all schools. There was a place in it for songs that schoolchildren themselves "rewrote" about their beloved teachers, gay dances, and the recognition of teachers in love. Congratulations to the Teacher's Day sounded here in every word, in every room. The script was always not a separate set of numbers, but a whole play, in which the whole school participated.

One of the best, from my point of view, was called "Our Lyceum in 100 years". Dances, songs, excerpts from theatrical productions were accompanied by slides from the "future", real photos of teachers, photos of teachers, students in 100 years (here it was necessary to work for high school students familiar with photoshop).

As a result, we received a touching, permeated narrative about the present and future of our school. The final words, although they did not contain congratulations, are still remembered by all teachers who worked at our lyceum at that time. It is in these words that profound gratitude is given to the teachers, recognition of their merits:

"... I love you, my Lyceum." And the usual lessons, and test works, and on a holiday the noise of a fun disco, and my classmates - I will not trade for anything.

My lyceum ...

... and night vigils over homework, and going to the library, and punishing parents for a bad evaluation and the question that arises in the tired brain: "When will it end?".

All this is my Lyceum. And the kind faces of teachers, always ready to come to the rescue, to support, and favorite subjects, and the joy that you understood, finally understood how this task is being done ...

Congratulations, ended on such a piercing note of recognition in love, will never leave indifferent neither teachers nor students.
