Comparison of Tyutchev and Fet: a look at nature and love

Fedor Tyutchev was older than Athanasius Fet for seventeen years. The difference in age, places they visited and in which they lived, left their imprint on the works of great Russian lyricists, who managed to express their thoughts and feelings in a poetic manner. Mass readers-contemporaries were rather coldly concerned with their poetry, and only time put everything in its place. These two geniuses are close to a quivering attitude towards Russian nature and love. Let's compare Tyutchev and Fet.

The uniqueness of F.I. Tiutchev

Fyodor Ivanovich wrote for his life a little more than four hundred poems. Yu.M. Lotman divides them into three periods. We confine ourselves to an analysis of works where the life of nature is reflected with its deep philosophical overtones, and love lyrics. Comparison of Tyutchev and Fet in these areas of poetry shows the difference between the captivating grace of A. Fet's "pure art" and the fullness of his thoughts and genuine, though mean, expressions of feelings in F. Tyutchev.

Living in Nice after the death of E. Denisyev, which he had a hard time experiencing, the poet writes the most poignant poem, in which he compares his life with a bird that has wings broken off. She, seeing the bright shine of the south, his undisturbed life, wants and can not rise. And all of it "trembles with pain and powerlessness." In eight lines we see everything: the bright nature of Italy, the brilliance of which does not please, but disturbs, the unfortunate bird, which is no longer destined to fly, and the Person who experiences her pain as her personal. Comparison of Tyutchev and Fet, who also experienced a personal drama, is simply impossible. They speak Russian, but in different languages.

The poem "Russian Woman", which consists of two stanzas, is still relevant today. Briefly depicted her colorless and useless existence on the vast, deserted, nameless spaces. The lyrical hero compares her life with a cloud of smoke, which gradually disappears in the dim foggy autumn sky.

And what about love? It is only analyzed. The poem "Summer 1854" in the beginning is permeated with ecstasy, witchcraft of love, which was given to two "for no reason". But the lyrical hero looks at this "troubled eyes". For what and where such joy? A rational mind can not just accept it. It is necessary to get to the truth. In the opinion of the lyrical hero this is only a demonic attraction ...

F. Tiutchev is a subtle psychologist, and for whatever topic he undertakes, he will certainly appear before us in the grandeur of genius.

The musical gift of A. Fet

Comparison of Tiutchev and Fet shows that for whatever picture both poets are taken, the face of nature or love, often interlaced together, will necessarily be reflected in it. Only A. Fet has more trembling life, state transitions. The poet reveals to us the world and its beauty, very accurately reproducing them and improving the human nature. "May Night" is a poem that L. Tolstoy at once learned by heart. There is also a picture of the night sky with melting clouds, and the promise of love and happiness on earth, which turns out to be achievable only in heaven. In general, for all the undeniable musicality, Fet came to the joyful, almost pagan perception of being.

The relationship between man and nature in two poets

When comparing the lyrics of Tyutchev and Fet, it turns out that for Tyutchev there is no harmony between man and nature. He stubbornly tries to solve her eternal riddle, which this sphinx may not have. Fet admires her beauty in addition to her will, she poured into it and splashed out in the form of enthusiastic works on sheets of paper.

What does love mean to each of them?

Tyutchev believes that love kills a person. She is devoid of harmony. This element, which suddenly comes and destroys the adjusted life. It brings only suffering. Comparison of poetry Tyutchev and Fet shows that the latter and in adulthood have bright and enthusiastic colors to describe the flushed feeling: "Happy heart is easily betrayed." He remembers and never for a moment forgets his youthful love, but does not turn away from her tragedy in Alter ego and believes that for true love there is a special court - he and his beloved can not be separated.

The world is the creation of the Creator. Both poets try to know the Creator through nature. But if F. Tiutchev looks at the world with a tragic and philosophical glance, A. Fet, like a nightingale, sings a song to his perennial beauty.
