Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent for topical use, also produced under other names: Kanesten, Mikosporin, Klotrisal, Panmikol, Funginal, Candide, Imidil, Antifungol, Lotrimin ", " Empezid "and others.

When do they designate Clotrimazole?

A person is constantly surrounded by spores of fungi that are invisible to the naked eye, which, when exposed to the skin and mucous membranes, begin to multiply rapidly, under certain favorable circumstances, causing painful sensations in the lesions.

Are there any contraindications?

For fungal lesions of feet, mycosis of the hands, interdigital dermatophytosis, superficial candidiasis, the cream "Clotrimazole" is applied to thoroughly washed and dried skin two to three times a day, rubbing the drug. After the disappearance of the symptoms of the disease treatment continues under the supervision of the doctor for another three to four weeks.

In some cases, the appointment of the drug "Clotrimazole", the instruction for use provides for the simultaneous use of various forms of the drug. So, in the treatment of urogenital candidiasis in women, a pill or candle is administered at night in the vagina (the dosage of the drug should be prescribed by the doctor depending on the severity of the pathology), and the mucous membranes of the vulva and the skin of the perineum are lubricated with a one-percent cream. Simultaneously, a drip solution of the drug into the urethra is administered within 6 days.

To enhance the therapeutic effect of trichomoniasis, the use of "Clotrimazole" is recommended to be combined with "Metronidazole" and other chemotherapeutic drugs, strictly according to the doctor's prescription. Simultaneous treatment of the sexual partner is also necessary.

In cases of individual intolerance or hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, treatment with "Clotrimazole" is canceled.

The shelf life of the drug "Klotrimazol" is 3 years, if stored in a place protected from light.
