Peaceful - a settlement with a special status of the "closed city", which was founded in the second half of the twentieth century. A few kilometers away from it is the Plesetsk cosmodrome. In the city there is nothing remarkable. It is built up with typical panel houses of the Soviet period. There is a version that Mikhail Lomonosov walked on his way through this area on his way to Moscow.
