History knows many examples of the fact that famous fashion houses conducted their history for a hundred years or more. However, in the world there are not so many fragrances that have such a long life, remaining loved by millions of people. Such fragrances, in the first place, include perfume-legend, dream-spirits - magnificent and mysterious, shrouded in a halo of myths and legends - Chanel 5.

More than a hundred years ago, the charming and unusually strong woman Gabrielle Chanel founded a fashion house that was destined to celebrate the centennial, while remaining one of the most popular and influential in Europe.

For many of her contemporaries, Gabrielle was remembered as a strong and integral nature, overcoming all the obstacles and difficulties on her way to the goal. It is not surprising that the character traits of a strong woman were reflected in her work. The image of the brand that Chanel created - a fashionable and business-like, self-confident, elegant woman with her own style, was not characteristic of his time, he was ahead of him for decades.

Chanel owns many discoveries in the fashion world, which made her famous throughout the world. It was she who drew the attention of women to the little black color used in those days, she changed the women into trousers and offered short haircuts. Everything to which Coco touched, became innovative, revolutionary.

In 1920, the favorite Gabriel, the ruined Prince Dmitry Romanov, introduced her to the famous perfumer Ernest Bo, and she asked him to create a fragrance that "smells like a Woman". Work on the order lasted long enough, but as a result, she was offered a choice of 10 variations of aromas poured into numbered bottles.

Koko preferred bottle No. 5, and not so much because of the smell she liked, but rather the magic-enchanted figures she had been fascinated with since her youth. The fragrance was planned to be presented to the general public on May 5 - Gabriel's birthday. She was not mistaken and Chanel 5 made a real sensation in perfumery of that time. It was a synthetic scent, which particularly amazed the public, as before, the floral scents dominated. Novelty with its fragrance did not resemble any of the flowers.

The popularity of Chanel 5 grew at an incredible rate. And soon they became known all over the world. In addition to popularity, the perfume brought Gabriel more than $ 15 million. When the great Marilyn Monroe journalists asked about what clothes she prefers to sleep, she answered that she only has Chanel 5. Comments from such famous women increased the interest of buyers to this composition. And after the words of Marilyn, millions of bottles were sold in a matter of days.

In 2007, the famous perfumer Jacques Polje introduced a new composition - Chanel 5 Eau Premiere, whose task was to make the mystery of her famous fragrance understandable to contemporary Chanel fans. I must say that the master coped brilliantly with the task. The fragrance turned out to be democratic and easy, suitable for use in the daytime.

To date, the phenomenon of popularity Chanel number 5, as, indeed, many other discoveries of this amazing woman, remains a mystery ... But is it worth it to solve? It's better just to enjoy!
