Champagne Life - restaurant in Moscow, and much about it

The old center of Moscow is unique in its atmosphere. Every tourist tries to walk all the streets and alleys on foot. So, turning to the Patriarch's ponds, you can easily find yourself where the restaurant Champagne Life is located.

Spiridonovka Street, 25/20 - is a place very close to the highway, which hides in the silence of houses around the corner. Every traveler, looking here, will be in the most real France. It is a pity that this restaurant did not live up to the owner's hopes and was closed down, but it's so nice to remember everything that was possible there.

Comfort and warmth

The interior is made in Provence style, a little gilded and silver. Cozy small tables and chairs, balconies and terraces - everything reminds the French province. And what does this country associate with you? Of course, with the wines! The variety of them (sparkling, white, red, steady and young) can turn a head, and tasting pleasantly will weaken and will distract from worldly cares. The entire atmosphere is perfectly complemented by French and author's cuisine, the dishes are served according to all the rules of the presentation.

Calling Champagne Life (restaurant in Moscow) and ordering a table means to provide an excellent business conversation, a romantic date in silence and coziness, or just to meet friends and have a nice chat. After all, in the present time all HoReCa is oversaturated with multimedia, loud sounds, why and so you want to find a secluded place where you can sit in silence and it's nice to talk "about anything."

And where is the waiter?

Seeing a young guy who suits you, you should not take him for a waiter. Champagne Life (restaurant in Moscow) does not hire waiters. Dishes and wines are served only by the sommelier. Are they surprised? Yes, it is the sommelier who will be able to choose the right wine (depending on your mood, desire or ordered dishes).

If you are a person already experienced in wine business, you can have a pleasant chat with the sommelier. Probably, you will learn something new, because the history of sparkling wines is part of the great science of wine as a whole. And if you doubt the choice of this or that sort of wine to your dish, then you will be very detailed instructed.

Who has thought of this?

The very idea of creating an institution like Champagne Life (restaurant in Moscow), visited the bright head of the famous sommelier Anton Panasenko. Despite the fact that nearby there are already gourmet restaurants with a very impressive wine list, he decided to make a unique project where you can enjoy champagne as an art, because it is reliably known that there are not so many such establishments even in France itself.

Do you know that most of the sparkling wines popular in their home country are not completely promoted abroad, for example, in Russia - in Russia. Therefore, Mr. Panasenko wished to realize his dream and create an institution where champagne is presented not as an aperitif, but as a full-fledged lunch drink.

And how many kinds of champagne?

The whole wine list had about two hundred kinds of wine, 150 of which - sparkling. Champagne Life (a restaurant in Moscow) put on the menu a significant part (about a hundred) of unpopular French drinks produced by Alsace and the Loire. Also included here are the brutas from Lombardy (Italy), South Africa and Slovenia.

All other varieties are so-called "not brutty." By the way, the French consider it a bad form to use this wine. But after all among them there are drinks that delightfully complement salty dishes, for example, with sea fish. Therefore Champagne Life (restaurant in Moscow) menu offers very modest, and portions, by some measures, "tiny".

You will ask: "Why?" The answer is simple - the gourmet dish is perfectly combined with sparkling wine and satisfies its gourmet taste. Tartar from venison or an escalope with fried foie gras, foam with prawns and zucchini, and much more "helps" to prepare the imagination of chef Valentin Polikarpov.

And you knew that ...

Some scenes of the TV series "Kitchen" were shot in "Champagne Life". And Claude Monet is a fictitious name. For greater realism, the set was also copied from the champagne boutique.

The institution was opened when there was no official ban on smoking in public places and in the main hall it was forbidden to smoke, and smoke lovers could leave for a separate room with a sofa. Champagne Life (restaurant in Moscow) received positive reviews for this (not counting the cuisine and wine).

Sometimes negative opinions could slip through. And all because young sommeliers could not own the material thoroughly, as visitors expected. Perhaps because the Russian person was not accustomed to the culture of sparkling wine, the boutique was not in high demand among Muscovites and guests of the capital, so Mr. Panasenko was forced to close Champagne Life (a restaurant in Moscow).

Already a few restaurants have changed in this place, but still those who appreciated this extraordinary institution, do not leave the hope that the boutique of champagne wines ever open again.

What do you think? Would you like to get to Champagne Life - a restaurant that resembles a true France?
