To all who found themselves in the Crimea, it's easy: simple karst caves are located on the Chatyr-Dagh plateau in the territory of the nature reserve. Descending to the depths of the harsh mountains say they saw the heart of the Crimea.

Four true miracles of nature keep Chatyr-Dag from prying eyes. The stunning beauty of the caves of Marble and Emine-Bair-Khosar, the Millennium and the Cold wait for visitors who dream of unforgettable adventures in underground galleries.

The most impregnable cave

Hundreds of years ago there was no foot of a man there, but the most unapproachable was Emine-Bair-Khosar, also called Mamontova, because the only entrance to it was a huge vertical well. And only in 1994, courageous speleologists from Simferopol cut the way to a cavern that kept a lot of riddles, changing the level of the tunnel's slope.

And a year later it was open to all comers who now do not risk their lives, but go along a convenient passage.

Natural masterpiece

No one can say that he saw Emine-Bair-Khosar completely. The cave in the Crimea with a total length of galleries more than two kilometers and a depth of about one hundred and eighty meters is rich in amazing grottoes, stone waterfalls, wells and sculptures. Therefore, everyone who will go for a few hours in the magical world of the dungeon, awaits a lot of unforgettable impressions.

Millions of years ago, water was boiling here, creating the most incredible natural creations. Dissolving limestone, she, like a real magician, formed bizarre formations. Stalagmites and stalactites, growing from below and hanging from above, are weaved into a single organism - stalagna.

Trap for mammoth

A vertical well for many animals was a deadly trap. No one slipped inside had a chance to survive. In one of the grottoes were found the remains of a small mammoth, who found the last shelter in the hall, after which the cave Emine-Bair-Khosar began to be called Mamontova, although this is not the only beast whose remains were found by speleologists. Now the bones of wild animals are laid out in the grotto and are open to the eyes of visitors.

The beginning of the excursion

Not all of the five levels of the "bottomless well", as the locals call the cave, can get her guests. The lower halls are sealed and are reserved areas. For sightseeing routes, only 700 meters of territory are open, divided into dozens of grottoes and galleries bearing individual names.

The entrance to the cave begins with a paleontological museum that leads visitors to the main hall of the underground fairy tale and strikes with magnificence. Its spacious vaults consist of impressive stalactite sizes, the fantastic beauty of which fascinates.

Halls Dublyansky and Throne

In the Dublyansky Hall, all visitors will have a wonderful surprise - a two-level anhydrous calcite lake, which is a natural erosion monument.

And on the left side there is the Throne Room, where the unique education "Cap of Monomakh" is beautifully highlighted, which is a white, curdled mass of limestone growing during the rains.

Hall of idols

The Emine-Bair-Khosar cave houses an amazing Hall of idols 60 meters long and connected by an artificial tunnel with the Dublyansky Hall, pierced 13 years ago.

Tourists freeze with delight, and it seems to some that they are in a chess fairy tale where the figures of the king and queen are ruled by a ball, on which the up-growing formations are similar. And many see pagan stone gods.

The biggest idol reaches 10 meters in length, and among the stalagmites of smaller imagination visitors recognize images of strange animals, birds and even girls.

The walls are decorated with calcite flowers and multicolored streaks, left from twenty-meter stone waterfalls.

"Treasury"

The name of the next grotto "Treasury" speaks for itself. Here there are unique natural creations consisting of calcium, water and air salts, heliktites. Twisting in different directions, they resemble small spirals or very thin threads. The guests of the cave are surprised by previously unseen curiosities that look like aliens from another planet.

Kecskemet Hall

The spacious Kecskemet hall, painted with water in a chocolate-cream shade, is known for a small stalagmite reminiscent of the shape of a volcano. Inside it there is even a small crater, expanding every day.

It is not for nothing called the best acoustic hall of an immense cave. And that all the guests are convinced of this, the guides include music that pours from the columns specially equipped on the vault of the grotto and captivates with deep sound.

The mistress's room

In one of the lower levels, open for excursions, there is a grotto called "The Hostess's Hall", where the figure of a thin girl with a braided scythe is clearly visible.

There are several grottos not open to tourists, but in which already work on equipment, and it seems that they will eclipse the beauty and uniqueness of the previously known galleries.

Protected natural miracle

It is worth mentioning that Emine-Bair-Khosar cave is one of the most strictly protected natural masterpieces in the world. Scientists have not thoroughly studied all the processes that took place in underground galleries over millions of years, and so far only a small part of the halls have been explored.

Therefore, the entrance to the lower tiers is immured not only for mass visits of tourists, but also for speleologists, to preserve the descendants of the untouched magnificence of the grottoes and the microclimate in them.

Only once in five years is access for several scientists open, so that they carry out the necessary research, and zamorovyvaetsya on a new one.
