Can I sterilize the jars in the microwave?

The dishes are thoroughly washed, given a little drying and placed in a microwave oven. A glass is placed near it, filled with water for 2/3 of the volume (it is not necessary to fill it to the brim, as the liquid will pour out after boiling).
