Calculation of room ventilation

If the calculation of natural ventilation is correct, you will get a well-ventilated comfortable room. And for the design of a quality and reliable system, it is very important to consider everything correctly. Depending on how the calculation of ventilation, as well as compliance with all standards, it is possible to provide room with the required air volume. And this will create the maximum comfort of living in the house, even if the natural ventilation is arranged unimportantly.

What is the calculation of ventilation?

Every house needs high-quality ventilation. Calculating it is the definition of the operating parameters of all system elements. The correctness of such work will affect the efficiency of the entire system. The calculation process has its difficulties, and now we will consider what it is.

Where to begin?

Calculation of ventilation should always start with the designation of the required parameters. This is the purpose of the room, the number of people in it, the number of appliances that produce heat. If we add all these values, we get the capacity of the room by air. This indicator will help to determine the multiplicity of the air volume - the number of times that the air in the room is completely replaced in one hour. For residential premises, the required multiplicity of air exchange is a unit, but the working premises will require 2-3. For all rooms in terms of the air exchange rate, all values are air productivity, the usual values of which are:

- offices - 1000-10000 m 3 / h;

- apartments - 1000-2000 m 3 / h;

- cottages - 100-800 m 3 / h.

Carry out the necessary measurements

You also have to calculate the power of the air heater. In this case, the desired air temperature in the room is taken into account, as well as the lower value of the outside air temperature. In addition, when choosing equipment, take into account the working pressure that creates the fan, the permissible noise level and the required air flow rate.

We design an air distribution network

Now you can proceed to the second stage - the design of the air distribution network. It includes air ducts, adapters, air distributors, etc. The diameters of the air ducts and the number of transitions between different diameters will be of great importance. The more these indicators are, the greater the working pressure. For those who in this terminology, as well as in the peculiarities of the construction of ventilation systems, do not understand very well, we give the formula. It will help to calculate the ventilation: the power of the fan in the apartment should be equal to the volume of the room, multiplied by two. Keep in mind that in the case of an office space, one person should have 60 cubic meters of fresh air per hour.

We find the optimal solutions

The diameter of the air ducts determines the average air flow rate. As a rule, it should be 12-16 mm / s. When designing a ventilation system, it is important to find the optimal relationship between noise level, fan output and air duct diameters. Calculating the power of the air heater, take into account the desired temperature in the room, the lower level of the air temperature from the outside. For apartments, the average power of the air heater is in the range from 1 to 5 kW, and for offices the limits are from 5 to 50 kW.

As you can see, the calculation of ventilation is a complex process, and if you are not sure that you will cope with all its subtleties, it is better to consult specialists.
