Bright winter accessory - a hat-owl, crocheted

Now headwear with muzzles of animals became very fashionable. But the hat-owl became especially popular. It is worn by both children and adults. These hats are funny and cute, but most importantly, they are also warm. But at a glance at the prices of handicraftsmen, the desire to buy such a product falls away because of the high cost. Do not get upset. After all, such a cap-owl crocheted very simply. If you know how to make three kinds of columns, then creating such a winter accessory for you will not be difficult.

Preparation

First, you need to buy the right yarn in order to get a hat-owl, crocheted tied. After all, the main thing is not only the appearance, but also the main purpose of the headdress - the preservation of heat. It is also important for whom you will knit this hat. For example, it is better for a child to take acrylic yarn, since it is hypoallergenic. And for the kids, it will be an ideal option.

You can also use a mixture of acrylic and wool. For an adult person, in principle, any warm yarn, but you should not buy very cheap yarn. When washing, the cap made of such threads may become deformed. The yarn should be thick enough. Speaking a professional language, it's somewhere 200-300 meters in 100 grams.

After the yarn is selected, be sure to note which hook number is recommended by the manufacturers. If you do not have one, get it. In order for you to get a hat-owl, a crochet to tie it is necessary from a certain number of threads. So, for work you will need:

  • 100-150 grams of the main color yarn. Or on 50-80 gr. Two shades, if you want to have a colorful headdress.
  • A little yarn of different colors to create eyes, ears, nose of an owl.
  • Hook No. 3-5.

Cap-owl crochet: description

First, you need to link the cap itself. It should be comfortable and, of course, beautiful. The following is the most common way to tie a hat to a crochet. Owl is created separately. To make it easier for you to understand the principle of work, look at the image in the article. The picture below shows the scheme (crochet). The cap-owl can be knitted in different ways.

The size

It is necessary to determine the size of the bottom of the cap. There is a formula by which it is easy to calculate it. It is necessary to measure the circumference of the head and divide by the number Pi (3.14). For example, if the head circumference is 50 cm, then the bottom should be connected with a diameter of 16 cm. On average, one bar equals one centimeter. That is, the number of rows of the bottom is about 8. Thus, make calculations and start knitting. Here is a description of knitting for a size of 50 cm.

Bottom and length

First you need to make a sliding loop. If this causes some difficulties, you can simply tie a chain of 6 air loops and fix it in a ring. And then already inside make columns with a crochet. When the convenient way of the initial loops is selected, proceed directly to knitting.

In the first row, columns with a crochet (hereinafter - CIH) are made. The standard quantity is 12 С1Н. But some knit 10 posts so that it's convenient to count the loops. So, we make 3 air lifting loops, which replaces 1 СНН, and 11 more СIН. At the end, we connect the series of connecting loops to the third VP.

The second series is done as follows. First comes 3 VP. Further, an increment is added to the second loop of the previous row, that is, 2 CIH. They are made in each loop. At the end of the row we knit another 1 СН in the same loop, from which 3 VP come out. And also make the connecting post (CC) in the third lifting loop.

Note

To avoid further repetition, it is worth explaining a couple of principles of circular knitting:

  1. At the beginning of each row, 3 VP lifts are matched, which replaces 1 column with a crochet. Further on this will not be said. But you need to understand that they knit at the beginning of each row. That is, if it is indicated that it is necessary to link 12 CIH, this means that 3 CI and 11 CIH are needed.
  2. At the end of the row, it is necessary to connect the last column with the crochet with the third lifting loop.

In the third row we add 12 columns. Additive knit in every second loop. That is, one makes 1 СН, in the second - 2 С1Н, in the third - 1 С1Н and so on. In general, it should turn out 36 СН. In the fourth row, we make increments in every third column. The first - 1 CIH, the second - 1 CIH, the third - 2 CIH, etc. Total - 48 loops . In the fifth row, the increments knit in every fourth loop, in the sixth - in every fifth. In addition, there must be 72 loops.

Next, you need to link the seventh and eighth rows. But for the transition to the length of the cap to be smooth, it is necessary to knit the increments through the row. The seventh is done without them. The eighth crochet with the increments in every seventh loop, the ninth - without additions, the tenth with additions to every eighth loop. This completes the appendix.

If possible, the bottom made better to try on. After the length of the cap is knitted. Here, the increase is not needed. The length, just like the bottom, can be calculated. The diameter is added 2-3 cm depending on the desired length. For the cap given in the description, the length is 18-19 cm.

Ears for hats

The ears are knitted in the form of triangles. It is important to correctly identify the place for them. To do this, divide the circle of the cap by 5. We calculate: with 8 rows of increments, 96 columns are obtained. 96 divide by 5. It turns out 15.2. One column will be superfluous, leave it for the front of the cap.

We give 1/5 for the back zone and two ears. Another 2/5 - for the front. We go from the end of the series and count in one direction 7. This number is chosen because the back part will be one 1/5. And that the ears are at the same distance, we must divide the number by 2, taking into account the air loops for the beginning of the series.

We mark the data of the loop. From the beginning of knitting the ears we make 15 columns with a crochet. In the next row, we begin to loosen along the loop from each side (two penalties in the row). It is better to clean not the first two, but the second and third. In the end, we do the same (13-14). And so we knit all the rows, in each hatching two loops, until there are 2-4 (at the discretion).

Making details

As you can see, it is not difficult to fit the hat-owl crochet. The description of the eyes, beak and ears will be given below. The eyes for the cap-owls crochet quite simply. It is necessary to make two circles. Each row has its own color. First on the circle twinned 12 СНН yarn black. The second is done with the addition of blue, green, and brown yarn to each loop (2 CIH in one column). The color in the second row, in principle, can be anything. Choose it at will.

The third row should be white, associated with the increments in each second loop. On the circle should be 36 СН. And in the fourth row, you also need to tie off the white color with columns without a crochet. Glazik for the cap is ready. The nose is knit, like a triangle. We start with one air loop. After that, three columns with a crochet (3 VP and 2 C1H) should be connected to it. In the second row, in each of the three loops, connect the increase. As a result, 6 Cl. At the end, tie your nose around the perimeter with columns without a crochet.

Ears of an owl can be either simple tassels that are made from yarn, or bound parts. Brushes are made very easily. It is necessary to tie the right amount of yarn, cut off the desired length and stretch the yarn into a loop near the crown of the head.

The whole details are knit fast. In a ring it is necessary to connect 3 VP and 7 СНН. In the second row, increments are made to every second loop. The third row: 3 VP, 1 CIH, 2 CIH in one loop, 2 CIH, 2 CIH in one loop, etc. Then, from the fourth to the sixth, you need to knit without adding. The ears are made. They were left only to sew caps on top. The eye and nose should be sewn at the front of the caps, as in the picture. We finish crocheting. The owl-cap is ready!
