The Botanical Garden was founded in 1980, thanks to the initiative of the National Academy of Sciences, in particular - E.V. Kondratyuk. On the territory of the park the Bazavluk River flows, so a pedestrian bridge was built, crossing through which one can observe not only the flora of aquatic plants, but also the fauna. More than three thousand species of plants, which are represented in the garden, were brought from different countries. Thanks to the variety of shrubs and trees, the Krivoy Rog botanical garden was recognized as the National Pride of Ukraine.
