Skating in Sitnyakovo is suitable for beginners and middle-level lovers, here also training for beginners. A second zone, Yastrebets, will be of interest to middle-class athletes. It is considered to be the best, and it is on its routes that competitions are held on the basic ski disciplines. In Markugik mostly skiers are skiers of medium and high levels. Professionals can test their strength on slalom and giant slalom sites. Good conditions here are created for those who prefer cross-country skiing, snowboarding and jumping from a springboard.

Excursions and entertainments

In between sports activities, tourists can have fun and explore the local sights. For example, to visit the seven Rila lakes, accompanied by a guide, arrange a "photosafari", visit Rila Monastery or the royal residence in Bistrita. Since Borovets (ski resort) is located 70 km from Sofia, many holidaymakers are necessarily planning an excursion to the country's capital. Also from here it's easy to get to Plovdiv and Melnik. In the town itself you can also see many interesting things. It often organizes folklore evenings of Bulgarian culture, tasting local wines and dishes of national cuisine, ski carnivals.
