Black dolphins as a symbol of the colony for life sentenced

Since, following international standards, Russia has refused the death penalty, it has become necessary to have specially equipped places of detention, which would contain those who were previously subject to execution. One of these places was the correctional colony No. 6 in the Orenburg region, in the city of Sol-Iletsk. For several years she is considered exemplary - by her example they want to transform the rest of the prisons. To an outsider, it is more like a sanatorium or a resort, but it is almost the most sinister place in Russia.

The contingent of "lodgers"

This impression did not come from scratch. Still, all the "black dolphins" - prisoners of the IC - remain the most terrible Russian criminals. Among them there are cannibals, maniacs, and terrorists. Even the staff of the colony say that the atmosphere in it is terrible and oppressive. Rounding off the figures, we can say that the people killed by the prisoners are almost 6 times larger than their own. And while all the dead died far from easy death.

History of the colony

The prison in Sol-Iletska stands almost from the day of the formation of the city. Once modestly hid in the outskirts, but the city has grown, and now its place is in its center. In the old days, prisoners were engaged in hard labor for the extraction of salt. An interesting fact: in the middle of the 19th century the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko lived here on the settlement. Of course, he was not kept in the prison itself, but the plaque proudly hangs near it.

The colonization of the popular name "Black Dolphin" was not long ago. It is associated with two sculptures of these marine mammals, which are made by the prisoners themselves. Now black dolphins stand on the lawn in the prison.

Conditions of detention

Because, in addition to the prison, Sol-Iletsk is also famous for its resorts, there are many tourists. Their impressions from the colony are the most opposite: some assure that it is gloomy, presses on the psyche, and is also visible from anywhere in the city. Others (apparently not aware of the fact that "black dolphins" are kept in these walls) periodically try to go almost on a tour - such a peaceful and well-groomed area seems to them.

There really is a lot of greenery and lawns. In addition to the already mentioned statues, funny figures of a giraffe, frogs and a bear are installed. The buildings are painted in bright colors - all this is intended to stabilize the psyche, normalize the emotional background.

The food of prisoners is simple, but satisfying and correct. Sometimes they even rely on some goodies. So, in the watermelon season, "black dolphins" receive a sufficient amount of this berry. Due to good nutrition in the colony, very few people with tuberculosis, and those treated without special therapy - normal food and compliance with the regime.

Criminals are allowed to read - in the prison there is a fairly large library. The only condition is that you can hold up to 10 books at a time in a camera.

Cleanliness is maintained by the prisoners themselves. Even the most aggressive and spiteful take part in the cleaning - if the refusal threatens the insulator, and this is an even greater limitation of the already absent will. But in each cell there is a civilized toilet bowl, hot and cold water, a normal floor. The buildings are air-conditioned, so even in the summer it's not hot.

Features

In this case, do not forget that the "Black Dolphin" - not a health institution, but a prison, and for especially dangerous personalities. Inside the buildings in this regard, the view is much more severe. Firstly, cells are installed inside the cells, criminals live in them. Secondly, they are not taken either to the dining room or to the library - everything is delivered to the cells. Thirdly, if the colony employees need to go to the prisoner's living quarters, the latter is placed in a "glass" - a fenced cage in the corridor.

Precautionary measures

Beds in the cells are two-story, and firmly fixed and very durable. It's impossible to disassemble them, to break something off, too. Otherwise, people who actually have nothing to lose, could use their fragments to attack security or suicide. Mattresses are also of special design. During the day they are stored in a folded state, since the bed after lifting is a forbidden place. Walk on the camera, you can sit on a bench, and the bed is available only at night.

All these tough conditions are necessary to save the lives of prison staff and prevent escapes. With the same purpose, nothing is seen from the windows of the cameras, except for a piece of sky - sunlight "black dolphins" receive in sufficient quantity to not get rickets or consumption, but they can not study the plan of the colony. They are transferred from the cell to work, to the medical station or to walk in handcuffs, buttoned from behind, and in a tilted state - it is almost impossible to attack the escort. However, it is worth remembering how ruthless the people who are sitting here. In addition, many of them are not at odds with their heads, and no one wants to risk the health and life of the colony's workers.

Cameras are checked every quarter of an hour by security, and this despite the fact that video monitoring is conducted all day and night. Quite often, and searches - with all the severity of the content, preparations for an attempt to escape, and the receipt (preparation) of drugs, are possible. And in fact in this prison the sitters do not even smoke!

Overalls for prisoners

They are always dressed equally. No difference - rest, gymnastics or work. In principle, we can say that this is a reinsurance in the event of a successful escape. The uniform consists of a black jacket with three transverse white stripes, the same pants (stripes on each trouser) and fez cap with the same three, but already vertical, stripes.

Additional measures

Prisoners are accompanied everywhere, even in corridors, along with escorts. And these animals are rigidly insured, listened to the dogmasters unquestioningly, and they respond instantly to any excess movement of the sub-consular. And yet there was a case when a prisoner tried to strangle a dog during an exacerbation.

Just brought convicts are led around the yard with a bandage in front of - another measure to prevent the organization of escape. The first, to whom the court appointed life imprisonment, was led with a bag on his head, but now the rules have changed somewhat.

Subtleties of the Russian legislation

It seems that for prisoners for life "Black Dolphin" - the last haven. If this colony is located, for example, in the US, it would be so. However, in our country everything is completely different. The fact is that the laws of Russia, conditionally speaking, under life imprisonment mean yet the final term - 25 years. And if a maniac, a cannibal or a terrorist survives during this time, he can expect parole. And, of course, none of them will give up the chance to be behind the walls of the prison, even under constant supervision. Just in 2014 will be considered appeals of those who served a quarter of a century.

So, probably, soon someone from the inhabitants of the IC No. 6 will be free. Did the potential liberated misunderstanding of one's behavior become realized? After all, psychologists believe that the modern prison system does not re-educate the criminal. On the contrary, embittered, makes cynical and finally unfit for life among people.
