The Cradle of the Great Writer

The English town of Stratford-upon-Avon, where William Shakespeare was born, is located in the well-known county of Warwickshire. The father of the creative personality was a successful merchant and noble artisan John Shakespeare, respected in the town. He even once was elected to the mayor.

Until now, scant information about the childhood and youth of the writer has reached. It is known that he was trained in the best "grammar school" of those times, he studied several languages, including Latin and Ancient Greek. He also studied history in depth, was fond of literature and ancient mythology. All these knowledge reflected on the further work of the playwright.

Glory in return for family penates

In the same city where Shakespeare was born, his future wife, Anne Hathaway, lived. They were married when the writer was only 18 years old. They had two daughters and a son who died in early adolescence. Three years later Shakespeare left his family and left his native penates. He went to conquer the capital of the Foggy Albion - London, and a few years later he was submitted to the best theatrical stage, and his inimitable plays began to be published during his lifetime.

Early work of the writer was devoted to the creation of a comic genre and chronology of historical events. Already quite a famous playwright returned to his native city in 1613 and after only three years died. He was just over fifty years old.

Twenty years of creativity

Biography of the great William Shakespeare has been for many centuries a topic for numerous discussions, assumptions, hypotheses, conjectures among leading historians and chroniclers, since it is full of blank spots. And most likely, that disputes over the personality of the most popular playwright will not be stopped soon, and perhaps this will never happen, but nevertheless, all the ingenious creations and creations of the Renaissance to this day inspire publishers, stage directors and artists of the whole planet. The first works of the playwright date back to the 90s of the sixteenth century, and the last play was written at the beginning of the second decade of the following century. Thus, the creative path of the English poet, to the great regret of descendants, was only two decades in length. But even in such a short period, the evolution of the entire ideology of the Renaissance era was reflected in his dramaturgy.
