Beer "Oettinger": main varieties and reviews

Brewing is an integral part of the cultural traditions of Germany. According to the amount of beer consumed, the Germans concede only to the Czechs and Austrians. Foam drink in this country can cook not only delicious, but also high-quality. In Germany, a large number of beer brands are registered, among which one of the oldest is Oettinger. We will tell you more about the main varieties of beer of the leading German trademark in our article.

History of the Oettinger brewery

The first mention of the brewery in the German town of Ettingen dates back to 1333. For centuries, the real German beer was brewed here, constantly working to improve the taste and other qualities of the foamy drink. Officially, the year of foundation of the brewery is 1731. At first it was a small family company, and by the beginning of the 20th century Oettinger had become a state enterprise. In 1956, the brewery was purchased by the Kollmar family, after which the company began building up its capacities and producing beer at minimal prices.

In Germany, beer "Oettinger" occupies 10% of the brewing market, producing more than 7 million liters of beer per year. The company positions itself as a producer of cheap beer, available absolutely for all people. Foam drink is produced in factories located in 5 cities of Germany. In addition, the company issues national licenses for the production of a drink under the brand "Oettinger" in other countries, including Russia and Ukraine.

Despite the fact that the beer "Oettinger" is at least 50% cheaper than the drinks of other German brands, it is not inferior in quality to them. The success of the company, which allowed it to reduce product prices to a minimum, is due to the lack of advertising costs, warehouses, marketing and sales departments and full automation of labor. In this case, all the laws on the purity of German beer are fully respected.
