The mummy of an alien in Peru? What actually scientists found

Last week the Internet was buzzing in connection with the discovery of the mummy of the "newcomer" near the Nazca lines. However, let's immediately clarify: this "discovery" has all the signs of hoax, and not very good.

Evidence of extraterrestrial origin?

Covered with white powder mummy was called "alien", because the found "creature" had six fingers on the hands and feet. In addition, the elongated skull of the mummy was also perceived as a mysterious sign, despite the fact that similar burial practices were quite common in the pre-Columbian era in Peru.

For the first time about the "discovery" of the mummy, the website Gaia.com has been announced, which calls itself a skeptical portal against "ordinary wisdom" (often evidence and logic). A series of videos related to this "find" is filled with questions about what this creature could be. Also, the authors of the videos conclude that the "find" has a clearly extraterrestrial origin.

DNA of the mummy

"From the DNA sample we were able to determine that this is a woman who was called Maria, since the mummy does not have a Y chromosome," commented Mikhail Aseev, head of the genetic analysis department of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the video.

It is worthwhile to explain in more detail the previous paragraph. If a team of scientists really could extract and analyze DNA, and even find out that the mummy belongs to a woman, then it can in the same way determine whether this was a human being or not. And let me assure you: if the researchers really discover the alien DNA, they will not announce it through a clever site called "Mysterio".

In addition, a quick search on Google shows that Mikhail Aseyev has nothing to do with the Russian Academy of Sciences or the Institute of Molecular Genetics.

Lovers of hoaxes

If all this information has not convinced you, then we should tell about one more important fact. It turns out that three members of the "expedition", who found the mummy, were more than once involved in creating hoaxes in order to earn money. For example, Jamie Maussan and Jesus Zalce Benitez in 2015 announced another mummy "alien", which in fact belonged to an ordinary child. Information about this mummy appeared in a non-commercial source called Be Witness.

The third member of the team of scientists, Dr. Konstantin Kototkov, who also claims that the mummy from Peru belongs to an alien creature, previously stated that he has a camera that can photograph the soul.

Technique of mummification

The last moment, which many Internet users paid attention to, concerns the mummification technique. Real mummies, found by scientists, usually look skinny (after all, their skin is dried in the process of mummification), whereas the recent find is very similar to a plaster sculpture with attached tightly fitting fingers.

This "discovery" has more red flags than rodeo, so it is very unlikely that it will be the first evidence of the existence of aliens.
