The central hole should have a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the seating cylinder, which is located on the hub of the machine. It is necessary to accurately interface these dimensions to ensure the centering of the (preliminary) wheel on the hub. This facilitates the process of installing the bolts. The final centering takes place on conical surfaces.

The next thing to be mentioned when discussing the parameters of the discs is the diameter of the mounting holes. This is the diameter of the circle, which is formed by holes, designed for attachment to the wheel hub. For different machines there are different diameters and number of holes.

It should be noted, speaking about the parameters of car disks, that the wheel should be checked on the vehicle even before it is assembled with the tire. You need to make sure that it fits snugly against the surfaces, does not stand behind the body and rotates freely.

Before you buy a disc, you need to check the diameter and number of mounting holes, and another step, the diameter and thread length of the bolts (remember that the length should not be less than eight full turns, seven permissible). Since the fastening holes are made with a positive tolerance that touches the diameter, it can easily be mistaken in its choice. In this case, only one of the nuts will be fully tightened. The rest will be displaced, as a result of which the fasteners will be tightened with a skew or not enough. Because of this as a consequence - incomplete landing on the hub. The wheel on the move will vibrate, and not tightened nuts can unscrew at some point.
