Baralgin in ampoules

Baralgin in ampoules is considered a fairly strong drug. According to reviews of some patients, the medication is effective within fifteen to thirty minutes.

Baralgin (injections) is an NSAID, a derivative of pyrazolone. The mechanism of action of the drug practically does not differ from other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Baralgin in ampoules is able to prevent pain impulses, increase the threshold of excitability in thalamic centers of pain sensitivity, and increase heat transfer. The peculiarity of the medication is a slight anti-inflammatory effect. Baralgin in ampoules has antipyretic, analgesic and pronounced spasmolytic (on smooth muscles in the biliary and urinary tracts) effect.

The medicine is shown at a feverish syndrome (on a background of stings of insects, infectious-inflammatory diseases, posttransfusion complications). Baralgin in ampoules is prescribed to eliminate pain of moderate and mild character. The evidence includes biliary colic, myalgia, neuralgia, burns, arthralgia, trauma, decompression sickness, sciatica, shingles, postoperative syndrome (pain), algodismenorea, dental, headache and others.

The solution is administered intravenously or intramuscularly three times a day for adults, 250-500 mg each. Dosage of the drug "Baralgin" (in ampoules) instruction allows for one injection of not more than 1 gram, per day - no more than two grams.

For patients up to one year, the drug is administered only intramuscularly. The temperature of the injection solution should be the same as that of the patient's body.

With intravenous administration, it is necessary to provide anti-shock therapy. The most common cause of reduction (sharp) blood pressure is an increased injection rate. In this regard, intravenous administration is slow, with the patient lying down.

The use of the drug in some patients causes anuria, oliguria, a disorder of renal function, interstitial nephritis, a change in the color of urine, proteinuria. Allergic manifestations are also possible (Quincke's edema, hives on the skin and mucous nasopharynx and conjunctiva). In rare cases, exudative erythema (malignant), anaphylactic shock, bronchospastic syndrome were noted. The use of medication can provoke thrombocytopenia, lowering blood pressure, agranulocytosis. In the injection site, infiltrates are likely.

Overdose is characterized by vomiting, nausea, hypothermia, lowering blood pressure, oliguria, gastralgia, dyspnea, tinnitus, delirium, drowsiness, hemorrhagic syndrome, consciousness disorder, convulsions, development of renal, hepatic insufficiency (acute), paralysis in respiratory muscles. When these symptoms occur, they provoke vomiting, and the stomach is washed (through the probe). Assign salt laxatives, charcoal activated, symptomatic treatment.

Contraindicated Baralgin with oppression of hematopoiesis, hereditary hemolytic anemia, hypersensitivity, lactation, liver failure, kidney failure, leukopenia, anemia, pregnancy. With special care, the drug is prescribed in infancy (up to three months).

In the treatment of children under five years of age who are shown cytostatic agents, the intake of metamizole sodium (an active component of Baralgina) is carried out under the constant supervision of a specialist.

During pregnancy, some NSAIDs are not recommended.
